Bill's Sticky Fingers in London

Me and my wife were in London for 5 days for the first time, I'de never been in England while I live so close, and of course a visit to Bill's "Sticky Fingers" was on my list. We had an appointment there with a niece of mine who lives in London for a year. By metro it was really easy to reach. Everything in London is easy to reach by metro. And I must say, it was great visitng it. Very nice and warm restaurant with good food and a good glass of beer, friendly staff and of course, only Stones music. Pitty Bill wasn't there. I can recommend it to everybody who visits London. Who on this board has been there too? I wanted to visit more Stones and Beatles places, but the wife decided that other places were more important (LOL). Well, maybe next time.  I'll attach some photos.

Glad you liked it.

I was there in August '03 and was not impressed.
The decor & service was nice, but the food had a lot to be desired.
Maybe I was just there on a bad day.

“What rap did that was impressive was to show there are so many tone-deaf people out there,” he says. “All they need is a drum beat and somebody yelling over it and they’re happy. There’s an enormous market for people who can’t tell one note from another.” - Keef

I visirted in Aug. 03 with a few of the Rocks Off regulars and again in 2006 with Stewed & Keefed.

It's basically just an overpriced burger bar with a bit of novelty value. Saying that, I did go twice and probably would go again if it was suggested!

Do you mean that one with the dragon?

Thats not from Slane, its a poster advertising two shows scheduled for castles in Wales in September 1973 (Cardiff and Pembroke Castles, if I recall right). Neither of which took place in the end.  The Stones didnt play Slane until 1982.

I've been there a few times since 1991. Usually when the Stones are playing London, because its a good (and obvious) place to meet or take fans who have travelled from overseas.

I think its gone downhill since the 90s, to be honest. There was a change of management about ten years ago and it showed. We had a Rocks Off night there in 2003 as HTM says, and I thought it had got very overpriced and the staff were bordering on rude.

In fairness, I went back with Meg in 2006 for lunch as it was her first trip to London, and it had improved somewhat.

Your right. It actually says on there. Cardiff and Pembroke, it's just hard to read. Still awesome to look at though. It better be considering what I paid for it. Shocked
