Got this from
http://stonesnews.com/December 2 - Stones Summit: we have the date!
=> Thanks to some of our friends (thanks EG666), we have the information that the 'Stones Summit', which Keith has already spoken about to happen this month, will take place on December 7. Whatever comes off from it - we'll let you know ASAP. Let's all hope for the best: a new album and tour!
"We'll let you know" ? Eh? Since when have the Stones started issuing press statements following annual meetings?
Its not as if Mick and Keith are going to emerge Munich-style holding a piece of paper a la Neville Chamberlain declaring that they've agreed to make a new record.
I'd imagine that for a while yet the only thing anyone will 'know' will be based on rumour.

It is my assumption that the poster is saying he or she is getting the inside scoop some how... not that The Stones or any of their posse would announce it. Yes, your right though, they never go public in announcing they just met up or anything like that. We always find out down the road in an interview or snippet from a credible source.
Isn't December 7th when Altmont took place?... (not that it matters... it is just recognizable as a date in Stones history some way to me....).
Ian
In which case its still a rumour. Everyone who starts a rumour claims to have the 'inside scoop'.

Well "yeah" I realize what your saying. I was just giving the dude a little benefit instead of doubt is all.
Gotta be some time soon though. A world tour is a huge undertaking as you know. Stadiums will have to be booked soon and if they are to release an album by next fall ....
Heck we have been through this countless times. Writing it, recording it, mixing it, and mastering it. Your talking an eight month gig on and off for them usually.
Ian
Altamont was December 6th. Pearl Harbour Day is December 7th!
