LOL! You're just stupid enough to think that I'm the one that got my ass handed! It's the other way 'round, pal. As it always has been.
You're right. You, and your Alinskyite Henry Higgins BJ (look it up), have throughly debunked the myth that the Blues was shaped by the very gospel and "negro spiritual" music that damned near every single early practitioner of the Bluse grew up listening to from cradle to grave! Thanks to you guys we now know the real truth!
Pathetic. Not that I've come to expect anything less, or more.
Okay, take the last word......no....I mean it this time!

I would have had to fight to get my ass handed to me. all you did was make yourself look like a jerk, looking for and starting a fight, for no reason... I assume your religion is being mean to people, because that is the only principle you practice. The ass you hold is your own, by yourself... if you notice, niether me or BJ has fought, we have only discussed, you came in fighting and remain only to fight... A discussion of The Stones music and a history of rock n' roll can't happen with discussing the history of black music... Seems you are of the opinion black music emerged from southern white slave culture and it's religion. The problem isn't that people disagree with you, the only problem is, anyone who stands for something you don't agree with, is bellitled, labeled into political and social groups and viciously assaulted by your foul mouth. The history of black music, my knowledge of it, comes almost totally from being a Stones fan, and things Keith richards has talked about, and then I have gone a little deeper with the information he provided in interviews ect... I never said, anywhere, the southern churchs didn't influence the black culture, they greatly did. But at the core, they preserved many of the core elements from africa that evolved into modern day rock and roll, and even rap... it appears to me, that somehow you are threatened, because being a white southerner, I get the impression, from your hostility, that you really want to claim that your culture is what made this possible. This isn't a stretch, since you have done this before, on political rants... and you always attack people who have adifferent views, and remain mostly rational, while you keep attacking them. When The Stones first came to america, did they go to white churchs and neighborhoods? no, they weren't even welcomed there. They were subject to ridicule, police harrasment and made to feel like an enemy to that white american christian culture... but, after gaining some acceptance, they were slowly welcomed into the very exclusive black musci culture and society. I wonder why The Stones only went to those seedy Go-Go's and backwater juke joints... hmm... and you think we're just making it up... and you're "discusion" on this, is that these happened as a result of singing hymnals in the fields as slaves? The christian influence is so obvious, how did I miss it... oh, but... how does that explain how blacks went off and began their own churches, b/c they weren't welcomed in the white ones, and began their own form of music, that was also rejected by the christian culture...? In your mind it makes perfect sense, that your culture, is responsible for rock and roll... especially since it happened at a time in history when the two cultures were segragted. I bet you and the with from Maryland can have a great discussion on this, but us grown ups, we're going to have a rational, amicable discusion.
