$495?  Isn't that what I just read his current girlfriend used to make for half a night's work? I don't know anyone wealthy or CRAZY enough to pay that.  Ronnie is dreaming.  Fan Asylum would be the correct term.

At that price, who does Ronnie think he is, The Rolling Stones!

Exactly.  Now if Ronnie was there to introduce Mick Taylor as his replacement (no offense, RW) and the rest of the Stones came on stage to perform non-war horses for 3 hours and Elvis came back to be my date.  THEN I would dig up the scratch.

Mick Taylor as his replacement?  You mean Dunkin Donut Mick Taylor?  It's been 25 years now, thanks for the laugh!
Look, more power to Ronnie.  If there are people to pay the price why is it Ronnie's bad?   If he has Keith on that stage that night, everyone will be envious.  There is a strata of people in the world who will pay, it is not I, however, if they want to pay-who's to stop them?

Well...I'd rather see a man's hand wrapped around a donut than a young woman's neck.  I prefer Mick Taylor's playing and you prefer Ronnie's.  We both appreciate Homer Simpson - although I am partial to Hank Hill.

I appreciate Mick Taylor's playing.  I appreciate the past & what it has brought, however, I am a firm advocate of moving on, I am a fan of the present.

Moving forward (whether with life's bumps or music) is the only sane thing to do.  I agree with you.  However, as long as Mick Taylor is willing and able I will wish for a reunion with the Stones.  Now they haven't consulted me on anything yet so if that actually comes to pass don't blame me or thank me.  My wishes don't carry the power they used to.

Really.  Abhorrent excuse of egoism?  So, he either gets embarrassed when no one shows or collects a good payday, it's capitalism.  Somehow Ronnie is going to survive.   I hope he makes a killing.  Better chance of a Stone showing than Mick Taylor......

They will, but they'll only really be satisfied if Mick, Keith (or maybe Rod) show up. The inflated ticket price reflects that sense of expectancy. The show in 2005 cost about £40 and it was a pleasant enough evening but it was only the Jagger cameo that elevated it into something special and made it worthwhile.

Asking silly money merely gets people's hopes up that the reason why they're being asked to stump up so much is because someone will show up. And if it doesnt happen, then theyve no cause for complaint because the megastar cameo wasnt promised or guaranteed.

It's not false advertising, but its a pretty sneaky and unethical way of promoting a show.

Ronnie hasnt seen Keith for a year, apparently. Can't imagine he'll show up, although as Keith will probably be doing some book promotion around that time, I guess its possible he COULD be in London. My bet's on it being Mick Jagger if its anyone, but even if it was guaranteed, its a lot of dough for a five minute cameo.

Mick Taylor doesn't show up for his own shows only when he's sick, scl.  Pneumonia for example.  I'd call that an excused absence.

I think Ronnie's last album sold about 5,000 copies. I'm not 100% sure, but it wasnt much more than that. Cant imagine too many of the potential attendees for this gig would have been rushing out to buy the new one.

In a free market society, people vote with their wallet.  If Ronnie has overpriced this-he'll take a bath & people will not come.  He's actually learned from the Stones well, no one ever said they give quality for the ticket price.  Or  have a fair fan club, or really care about the fans.   I've seen Keith play that same boring lick since Live Licks & I tire of it, but I am a lemming & I pay.  Who really gets off on seeing him hang on a mike stand to sing, play the damn guitar.  Ronnie's probably lost more bling & attempts to make it up with gigs like this & the art debacle last night.  Ronnie's not Bruce or Neil Young, or Prince, who can afford to play these type of gigs for short money.  The best way not to endorse it is not to pay, some of them get the point & change, some of them never do.

There are 11 different types of tickets on sale for the circle and stalls for these gigs - at 6 different prices. For a 380-seat theatre. Shocked

Prices in both stalls and circle are £150, £125, £120, £95 and £85. With some Circle tickets available at £40.

Three hours after they went on sale, there are still tickets available for both shows.

It's good to see the expression 'Wide Open' return to Rocks Off after a three year absence.
