Iowa State looked better than I expected last night against Northern Illinois, winning 27-10. I wanted to see Hawaii put up a bit better fight against Pete The Cheater's old team. In a very exciting finish last night, Utah beat Pitt with a field goal. And South Carolina showed a lot of enthusiastic spirit beating Southern Miss, 41-13.

I hope Illinois beats the Mizzousiers on Saturday, but I doubt they will. I always hope that Colorado State beats CU in that traditional season opener. Nebraska should beat Western Kentucky High School by 51. Oregon State is one of my favorite teams and I would love to see them mess up TCU's national plans. And as much as I don't like Virginnie Tech, I would like to see them beat those guys who play on the fake blue turf field.

So do I Sioux. I'd love to see them make it to the BCS title game and piss off the major conferences. Maybe then they'll get a playoff. Plus Boise has tried to schedule more games against big schools. But nobody wants to play them.

I'm taking Alabama today and layin the 37. The Tide will roll on poor San Jose St by 60. They're band could beat San Jose. But the Spartans have a million reasons for taking this game. Ouch!
