hendrix has a son? just finished another biography of the man and i must have selective memory cause i missed that - is it the one from the hookup in sweden?
thanks,
HJW
There is a daughter, Tamika Lawrence James, who has not be recognized as an heir--born in '66.
And there is a son, James Daniel Sundqvist, born in '69, who evidently was declared his biological son in 1975 in Sweden.
If you believe everthing you read on the internet.

But, I think this all may be true.
Thanks very much Sioux, i recognise the surnames, wonder if they look like him - or play like him
Quote:ow many times has Hendrix's catalog been reissued? It seems like a hundred times now. It's getting pointless now to reissue these albums when the last issues were declared "definitive" or whatever. Even if a reissue isn't declared a "definitive" version, why pull the albums off the market and reissue more of them? What else can you do to remaster and repackage the content? The intent of this move just reeks of money grab to me. but how much more can someone get when almost everyone who wants the albums already has them?
I know what you mean, i was just in a record shop adn was looking through all of the most recent reissues, and they look great, they're packaged with extra CDs or DVDs of stuff
what are they going to add now?
i liked valleys of neptune, even though i had most of it in bootlegs etc, but i thought it was great all the same, tehy should continue in that vein
i think valleys of neptune was actually a surprise chart hit, from recollection at least, think it broke the top 20 or something, pretty good for scraps Hendrix most likely wouldve hated to have the public hear
i read at the time of its release, Janie saying that the company had another 10 years worth of stuff to put out, so maybe we have another few rotations of reissue to go threw before they're finished
