New York the only people that rush the stage are guys.
...
Enjoying the NY humidity much?
...
I'm so hot for her,  and she's so cold
...
I'm the burning bush, I'm the burning fire
I'm the bleeding volcano
...
Yeah, I tried re-wiring her, tried re-firing her
I think her engine is permanently stalled
...
... Put your hand on the heat, put your hand on the heat
Aw C'mon baby, let's go Smiley
...
Who would believe you were a beauty indeed
When the days get shorter and the nights get long
Lie awake when the rain comes
Nobody will know, when you're old
When you're old, nobody will know
that you was a beauty, a sweet sweet beauty
A sweet sweet booty, but stone stone cold!!!!

Bye bye  New York.
"Whenever the Rolling Stones came to Cleveland,
we broke format and did non-stop hours of their music –
including rare and unreleased tracks.   We called it the WMMS Rolling Stones Orgy.
When the Stones played their two WMMS World Series of Rock dates
at Cleveland Stadium in summers
of 1975 and 1978, 1981 we went non-stop Stones from Friday night
through early Sunday morning
Three of the venues the Rolling Stones played in from
the sixties through the nineties were demolished:
The Cleveland Arena, the Coliseum in Richfield, and Cleveland Stadium.
Only the Akron Rubber Bowl, where the Stones performed in 1972,
remains intact, for now. Good bye Cleveland. Hello St Louis St Paul
Ain't no girls pretty as the girls in Chicago they'll give you the blues.

Mick joins Muddy Waters on stage
at Buddy Guy’s club, the Checkerboard Lounge. Keith,
Ian Stewart and Ronnie join in the fun as well
as Guy himself and his long-time partner Junior Wells.
...
...
The concert itself is very spirited and perhaps one of the best from this tour.
Spending several days in Chicago seems to have fired up the band.
The opening numbers are delivered at a frightening pace and it never lets up.
Bluesman Sugar Blue crashes the proceedings and reprises his harmonica in
“Miss You” to the delight of the band.
And this is one show where the horn section is really enjoyable,
especially in “You Can’t Always Get What You Want”.
The third disc of this set contains the soundboard of
the often-released November 22nd Checkerboard Lounge
set with Muddy Waters. It’s a treat to hear the band jamming
with the blues legend.
The interplay between Muddy and Mick and Keith is pure magic!
The only problem here is that only about half of the set is included.
Why the entire set wasn’t included is a mystery
and the only negative against this title. This oversight a side
Sweet Home Chicago 1981 is definitely worth having."

Motown! motor city.
"The Stones play Pontiac. Iggy Pop and Santana provide
the excellent double support-bill i remember being in the end
zone balcony opposite the stage - and the delay between the
video screen and the sound. and the house lights coming on for
you can't always get what you want...and yeah, it was freezing that night!!!
and totally worth it the $15
the piano man Stewart was awesome in that gig.....
i was there Saw the in the Superdome
( Doobie Brothers, Van Halan)
BAD ASS!!!!!!!!!!!!!
THANKS WOLFGANGS VAULT. ANNA BARSS AND I WERE 2 OF THOSE

Jagger pays homage
to the Detroit area audience:
"Ok, in the land of Motown, here we go," he says before taking
the group into The Temptations hit,
"Just My Imagination," an 11-minute version"
...
highlighted by a lengthy solo from saxophonist Ernie Watts.Jagger
then declares the band will do two rock 'n' roll oldies
that they had never recorded before -
...
"4th: The Stones hold a party on a riverboat on the Mississippi.
SUPERDOME NEW ORLEANS DEC 5 the day I missed the Stones
”Ahhhh I had tickets to this show then got busted the night before
in Houston for selling Mandrax. Didn't even want to sell it but
the undercover cop offered me $18 for one hit. That should
have been my first clue. Either way once he found out
I was going to jail anyway. Glad I don't do
drugs anymore. ... I remember it had been
years since the Rolling Stones had toured the US,
and there was all kinds of talk
about how they were still going strong
although they were all around 37 or 38 years old at the time.
That's funny, because 26 years after these photos,
they're still the highest grossing (money wise)
rock band in the world.
If they were US citzens, they would qualify
for Social Security and Medicaid benefits."
...
Tales from another fan.
"STONES AT THE  CAPITAIL CENTER WASHINTON D.C. DEC 7, 8, 9TH
Concert Comments "CAUGHT A COUPLE OF THESE SHOWS ON THIS TOUR BUT
I SAW THESE CATS IN THIS SAME  BUILDING BACK IN '72 THOUGH IT IS NOT
FAIR TO COMPARE 1981 TO 1972.ON 9/25 81 WE CAUGHT
THE DEAD IN BETHLEHEM THE STONES THE NEXT DAY IN PHILLY
THEN DOWN TO THIS VERY BUILDING AND CAUGHT THE DEAD ON 9/27/81
MAN WE WERE SOOOOOOO BURNT..” “have a bootleg of this on vinyl
that sounds better. The show was great!”“this is god-awful. Hopefully
Mick was a bit sick because otherwise i can not  understand how
he can sound so awful.
Beyond that, it is embarassing to listen  to this after listening
to the Brussells 1973 show
. Ron Wood, while i love the Faces, is just not a good fit.
And Keith is a shadow of himself - i cant stand the way
he constantly mugs for the audience now.”
“Saw the Stones in Phila. JFK 2 SHOWS & all 3 shows here
at the Cap. Center in '81. The Stones rock D.C.
everytime they come here. The Stones rocked the Cap.Center that December.
I made it to work after
all 3 shows! Long LIVE the ROLLING FKN STONES"

Pheonix Az.  Bill Wyman's bloody book  " We went onstage at 4:30pm
and played our usual set to 77,000 fans.
I wore my steel blue Nike suit .
...
Hal Ashby on hand filming.
We played a very good show in the sun to a good audience.
... ... ...
During 'Honky tonk Women, the  Saloon Girls and
the bands’s girlfriends come onstage
from the wings and paraded .
We left a wonderful fireworks display,
which was probably the best one."
......
This next excerpt from a fan at the show
"It is December 13, 1981, Sun Devil Stadium. We have some
reasonably good seats,
have sat through Joe Ely and then George Thorogood and
the Delaware Destroyers.
The Rolling Stones are on the stage. The song is "Let Me Go".
...
Mick Jagger climbs down a ladder from the stage and heads into
the crowd with a wireless microphone.
He is suddenly running down the aisle that
we (Bonnie Braun, Susan and myself) are about 6 people over from.
...
...
In the first shot here you see him standing in the aisle (pink shirt).
In the next scene you can see me in the extreme lower left corner
(Levi jacket, shades).
You can't really see Susan, you can see Bonnie (hooded sweatshirt).
Jagger is still visible in the aisle. In the third shot, you can make
out the three of us well, but Jagger
is no longer visible, although you can tell where he
is (as before just behind the guy in the windbreaker
and the sunglasses).
...
To find us, start at the upper left hand corner and
head diagonally towards the center,
we are about halfway to the center, first me,
then Susan, then Bonnie.
This footage is from the film Let's Spend the Night Together,
which I have been trying to get a DVD copy of for years."

Keith and Woody are nervous for this was going to be on live television.
...
...The show was taped for cable TV
and would be seen by 1,00,000 people
in seventeen American cities keith was pacing
around wondering what they’d got themselves into.
The pressures on him were considerable,
because to sing in tune properly he felt he couldn’t
“fool around” on stage.
...
Check this out from a fan ...
"I WAS AT THIS SHOW, IT WAS SNOWING THE MORNING OF
THIS CONCERT, AND I GOT
INTERVIEWED BY THE DAILY PRESS...why was I there? a Crazy quesion:
it the Rolling F@ king Stones,ok? The Greatest R 'n R Band in the World!
I was some 3 feet from the stage, taking photos of Keith, and his girl-
friend, then, taking photos of him! IT WAS AWESOME, still, to this day,
nohing beats this show "

Just a few days and you'll be back in your school
... I'll be sitting around by the swimming pool
You'll be studying history and you'll be down the gym
And I'll be down the pub, probably playing pool and drinking ...
Yep, you'll be back in your class
Sucking up the teacher and trying to get an 'a' pass
Trying to hide your make-up and you're trying to flash your legs
Yeh, no sympathy from your spotty friends
......
...
I can't help myself, help it if I'm older than you
Over, over, summer romance
I need money so much, I need money so bad
And I can't be your mum, don't want to be your dad
I'm a serious man, I got serious lusts
Gonna have to do away with this greasy kid stuff
...
It's over now, it's a summer romance and it's through
I can't help myself, I can't help it if I'm older than you
It's over, over, summer romance
......
"Hey isn't that MJ?"  Asked the horse at the end.

Mick points to the left field bleachers calling his shot much like Babe Ruth.
he  shuffles in to the senior cherry picker waving his micphrone
like a weapon
...

light up the Rolling stones ballon show, meanwhile
keef keeps the band together burning the candle right down.
...
I feel sick up here look out you people down below, Mick Jagger Pop icon
confusing to his minons
...
I'm out of control flying in my soup-up cherry picker

People elbowing  and jabbing each other ribs, in front of the stage
now that’s not very Christian like   at a Rolling Stones’ congregation
...
all the fans trying to get as close to the stage as possible and for what?
So they  can hear them better?
Ofcourse not it was the attraction to the music,
gravity pure and simple.
......
One  girl  had her elbows resting on the person back shoulder
squashed in front of her back shouting
“I’m just trying to get one F* picture Just one!!”
Mick trying to keep up with Charlie smashing the  snare
he's like a machine another dent on his high  hat
his legs furiously slamming the kit.
...
Mr. Stones leaned on me and starting screaming.
You know what this place is,?! don't you?! don't you? You've
been here before. 3 years ago..
...
But you're afraid to review it! aren't you?! Aren't you?!!!
...
Why? Because you don't want anyone to know,
do you?!!!  Do you?!!!!!!  It’s really true you can’t always
get what you what to steal  just listen to
the London Blah-blah choir
crescendo on that two stepper there.
The Stones!!!!"
I was so wasted all I could think of was the ballons
Mr.Stones was about to go insane he started off by yelling in my ear
...
"I'm giving it three stars because  The Stones are the Stones!
and longevity means success!!
...
If you do venture in, even on a dare, even on a double
dirty dare, wear the sunglasses,
okay? You don't want your boss to see you here  with the Stones.
