Jim Morrison's home on 'Love Street' up for grabs

Why go all the way to Paris to visit Jim Morrison's grave when you can buy his former home that starred in The Doors' "Love Street"?

I suppose a couple of plane tickets would be cheaper than the $1.2 million asking price for the 230,000-square-foot home in Los Angeles' Lauren Canyon.

Its photos feature a medieval look throughout the home's unique woodwork, including its beds, couches and dining table and chairs. And let's not forget the iron chandeliers and the close-up of a giant hook, the purpose of which is unclear.

Curbed L.A. says Morrison lived with his then-girlfriend Pamela Courson in the home on Rothdell Trail, which is also known as "Love Street":

Although the home has three bedrooms and 1.75 bathrooms, you'll want to venture outside to get a true feel for how the artist lived.

It has multiple patios, an inviting garden that just begs for al fresco wining and dining, an outdoor fire pit and even an outdoor shower that "affords an invigorating experience, and mature trees provide ample privacy," the listing says.

But one of the biggest draws for the true Morrison fan is the hidden shower where his writings are preserved. You'll have to ask to check it out, though, which you can do this weekend if you're in the neighborhood for its open house on Saturday

I'm thinking that since it has 3 bedrooms and 1.75 baths, it is probably 2300 sq. ft., NOT 230,000. That would be some big, honkin' house!
