This is so good I had to start another thread on Stones covers.
Keith Urban and Alicia Keys doing Gimme Shelter..holy shit, I missed this! I had boycotted Live 8 because of its simple-minded grandstanding, but this is a fantastic performance!

Alicia Keys is a little all-over-the-place, but the music is outstanding....
I googled Keith Urban and Stones because his version of Tumbling Dice was the only one that really rocked to me. This country-music-crooning Aussie has a great feel for Stonesy-ness: I watched him with John Mayer on CMT's Crossroads this weekend and was impressed again. Not a fan so much of the country stuff, but it's hard to do the Stones justice and KU has a real feel for it.
