Can't say as I'm shocked by your contempt for your own country, but still it is very enlightening to see such a strong supporter, and Harvard buddy, of Barack's come to the conclusion that the USA is inherently a bad country. Two peas, and all that, I suppose. Seems the only history of this nation that you two ever soaked up was how god (note little g) awful we have been for mankind! The USA will cease to exist if we allow millions of largely uneducated, menial skilled, undocumented, and illegal immigrants to cross the border at will. It will finacially bankrupt the country, and ruin our society, and our way of life forever. So by your estimation BJ, we, the USA, are the bad guys here?! Are you nuts?! I'm all for immigration providing that it is done legally, and that everyone waits in the same line to get in. You want to see some draconian immigration laws? Then look no further than Mexico's own law! What Arizona is doing is simply mirroring the current US federal law that has been on the books for decades. In fact, the federal law is more restrictive than the Arizona law is. The only reason that so many people are up in arms about it is because the leftists open borders crowds , and groups like La Raza know full well that unlike the federal government, Arizona will enforce this law! And God bless them for it! Note capital G. BJ let me guess, if Israel disappeared, and the USA would cease to exist as a world leader then all would be well in your little socialist nirvana, right? We could all live like those happy Cubans, or Venezuelans, right? They are only suffering because of us, right? Boy howdy! Harvard sure does turn out some kind of geniuses, huh?! Oh, and on a related subject (Obama's suckage)-Did you see the report released Monday that confirms that upwards of 51% of all private sector employees will NOT be able to keep their private health coverage once Obummercare kicks in?! Oh and P.S. We actually agree on this issue pretty much Riffy, but you're so quick to fight and so self-righteous, you'd rather be rude than see that... almost laughable... Pdog, you need to slow down my brother. If you go back and read the post that you made first, while quoting my post mind you, it's pretty simple to see that you were the one being a smart ass. I am glad that we are of like minds on this issue. My point about BJ was that his obvious contempt for the country of his birth was in perfect keeping with what I'd expect from him, and Obama, for that matter. I wasn't trying to lump you in with him until you gave me grief. Truce? Truce. For the record, gorda, while I certainly can't speak for all Americans, I can pretty much promise you that if the USA was being illegally invaded by millions of Swedes, Italians, or French the feeling would be exactly the same as it is with our friends from Mexico. Is it right to call Americans racists simply because we would like to maintain our sovereignty as a nation? Of course not! The border problem has had a devastaing affect on our public schools, health care, penal system, and social services. That Americans are pissed about it does not equate to racism at all. It's simply common sense! Most Americans are not nearly as angry at the Mexicans as they are at their own federal government for doing absolutly nothing to correct the situation. The fact that the border is being left wide open for purely political reasons only fans the flames of anger. Name one other country in history that has surrendered it's own national sovereignty in the name of political correctness, and I'll show you a country that wasn't a country for long. Riffy you know how it was easy to see I was being sarcastic, an emoticon winking and a written discliamer next to it... and still you respond like it was a serious point I made... it's amazing, you're so dead set on not changing, you even argue when I agree with you and make a stated joing remark...
