Glad I got to see him on his last time around.

Great (and long) show.  Smiley

Bowie doesn't come flat out and say it - the RS headline is a question - but he does say "I'm not thinking of touring".

He's kept a low profile for quite a while.
Maybe recording some new material will change his mind.

Or maybe not...

Yeah, You're right about that, about it being a question, I saw him twice in the 70's, I heard his Reality tour was excellent, I've got to get the DVD of that yet, I think it's from his show in Dublin, but let's face it, he's got all kinds of money, his wife is making all kinds of money, & he's there to bring up his daughter, I hope he does another album & doesn't stop recording, again, it's a question of if he stops touring or not.

I saw him with twice with Tin Machine in 91 but thought those shows blew. I was totally bummed that I was out of the country for his tour in 1990.

Triple bastardo GS. Damn I know the show I saw at BCT was one I still remember still as one of my top 5 all time. But I honestly forgot that he played in San Jose and did 2 shows in Berkeley. I do remember that they didn't serve alcohol at the BCT. Which is probably why I remember that show so well. When he did Heroes. Literally put a chill up the old backbone.
......Yeah I hope DB does somehow make it back on the road. I love all different era's of his career. Diamond Dogs is still my fave.

I was there too!  Serious Moonlight tour.  Loved it.

Also caught Glass Spider a few years later.  Quite a letdown.  Best part was when Frampton riffed on Do You Feel Like We Do for a few seconds . . .

I only got to see him twice - the Serious Moonlight tour in Milton Keynes in '83 and at Slane Castle on the Glass Spider tour in July '87. Both pretty good although seeing him in the 70s (especially on the Station to Station tour) would have been something else. Bowie's final great album was 'Scary Monsters' (also his best one IMO)

Had a ticket to see him in '95 on his only visit to Belfast but got 'flu and couldnt go. Wasn't that keen on the stuff he was doing then anyway (this was the 'Outside' tour, so I wasnt that crushed). Didnt imagine then it would have been the last time, though!

As lefty says, it doesn't actually say he's retired from touring, but as he's been pretty much inactive now for 6 years since his heart surgery, I've long given up on the prospect of seeing him tour again.

Hopefully the much-delayed 'Station to Station' reissue will see the light of day soon (scheduled to include a 5.1 remix and an official release for the legendary Nassau Coliseum show from March '76 previously bootlegged as 'The Thin White Duke'). With the Exile reissue and the upcoming Springsteen 'Darkness on the edge of town' box set, its shaping up to be a vintage year for deluxe reissues of classic albums.

Well Bowie's looking pretty healthy in that pic. As for the rumored Rolling Stone. Guess it's too much to think Keith would show up. Ronnie maybe?

saw him Adelaide late 78 early 79 - pretty much the show as documented on Stage

I was a little disappointed as his music had taken on the more austere euro tones of Low and Heroes while I was hoping for the hotter and and funkier feel of Station to Station and for sure the sound didn't do the old ziggy material justice at all  - however, i would certainly appreciate it more if I saw that show again now

Both times incredible.  I doubt that I would have liked the Glass Spider tour, though.

It's a shame, I was hoping after totally cleaning up with another mainstream tour he would veer off into left field again. (I preferred to the Outside & Earthling tours to the Heathen/Reality ones)
