Cancer is a frightening word.  Please don't let the Dr or your illness rob you of hope, Lantern.   I would definitely get a 2nd opinion on the diagnosis and treatment options.

Very sorry to hear this, Lantern... I am a cancer survivor--almost 9 years out from diagnosis. It IS a horrid word. But, if you think of it as more as some cells that have gone a bit haywire.....keep positive. Get a few opinions, and a doctor that you feel comfortable with. There are so many options for treatment out there now! But I know too well the horror of the initial diagnosis. I will certainly keep you in my prayers...

Don't lose hope Lantern_High!! Do go out there and get a second opinion, search all of your options and never give up! You can fight this!

so sad.... i am praying very hard for you, do whatever you can and be strong, cancer f'ing sucks like nothing else but it can be beaten!!!

Stay strong Lantern and never lose hope.  My father is fighting two types of cancer right now.  When this started back in January the doctors told him to call his family, they were going to put in a trach and good luck.  He got another opinion and is going strong, oh and no trach either.

If you don't like what one doctor has to say get that second opinion.  No one doctor knows everything hon.

Lina, I feel so bad to hear this. I knew your health was failing, but please try and think positively and fight for your life. If you can, see another doctor and ask if there are other treatments available.

Oh Lina I feel so sorry for you, enduring your illnesses has got to be a huge burden for you. Just play the Stones music as loud as you can over and over again to keep your spirits up. Music helps get us through the difficult times in our lives, boosts us up and becomes our inspiration!

Now I can walk a bit better always slowly as as snail but, walk. I havent the driving licence, my sis has it so we dont need another car, or more expensive bill to pay.
For where I need to go, here around, I can walk, all is nearby, the library, my mom's retiment's home, the shops, and supermarkets.. luckily I dont need to go too far.
'Bout the check ups and the visits I got a person who always drives me there, and take all my appointments.
I once again thank all you for your kind wishes and thoughts. It mean a lot to me.
