No, no, no, don't get me wrong. This won't turn into the political thread redux on my part. However, the blatant hypocrisy, and double standard had to be pointed out by me because I rallied against this piece of shit president for over 300 pages. Hell, I called him out when he was still just a second rate backbencher with a socialist streak a mile wide! The fact that I was 100% right about his complete leftarded ideological positions, and his total lack of experience is plain to see by everyone that is willing to be intellectually honest. Those that refuse to see the Marxist fool for what he truly is are intellectually dead to me.

It's easy to slam BP (deservingly so, I might add), but to not be honest about the complete lack of any leadership coming from Obummer is just plain drone-like.

Blame Obama first policy in full effect here.

Not in my book, however, h'es not making easy to think his admin are on the job, by allowing
BP to dictate when progress is being made.

Everything humanly possible should be placed in full battle mode
now to handle this.  If the US can go to the moon they should be able
to go 5K @ the bottom of the ocean to repair this leak now, not later.
35 days is completely unacceptable.

can't be stopped by humans, too far down, too much pressure. Maybe August, possibly if relief well works. Obama knows this. Humanity fucked up. Watch more tap dancing to ensue.

The Obummer Admin is doing bang up job! Imagine if it had Bush in office when this happened?! I mean even that little liberal freak Bill Mahr admits that the media is giving Obummer a free pass. No doubt that they don't want to remind the public that they were too busy blowing him while ignoring all the known facts about his far left ideology. Too bad there were so many uninformed voters that were conned by this fuckstick.

Oh, and guess who Obama's largest contributor was?! You guessed it! BP!!

"While the BP oil geyser pumps millions of gallons of petroleum into the Gulf of Mexico, President Barack Obama and members of Congress may have to answer for the millions in campaign contributions they’ve taken from the oil and gas giant over the years.

BP and its employees have given more than $3.5 million to federal candidates over the past 20 years, with the largest chunk of their money going to Obama, according to the Center for Responsive Politics. Donations come from a mix of employees and the company’s political action committees — $2.89 million flowed to campaigns from BP-related PACs and about $638,000 came from individuals."

This fucking Marxist hack is a goddmaned disaster!

Great job, Obummer!

Riffy

PS-I told you so!

EXTREME FUCKING SARCASM ALERT!!!

thanks for the breaking news that energy companies have bought and sold governement policy... we would be fucking clueless without you telling us that.

You're quite welcome, Pdog!!

Now what's your take on Obummer and Co. completely punting any responsibilty on the clean up process? Do you think that had it been Bush you would forgive him for being MIA for over a month? While we're at it, what do you think about Obummer and Co. violating federal law by offering Joe Sestak a job in order to keep him from running for the Senate?

Face it, I was right, and you and whole slew of other drones were wrong! Big time wrong!

Ya can't say I didn't warn you. Obummer is the worst president in US history, and that includes James Buccanhan and Jimma Carter!

And then there's this......

"The Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll for Monday shows that 25% of the nation's voters Strongly Approve of the way that Barack Obama is performing his role as president. Forty-three percent (43%) Strongly Disapprove, giving Obama a Presidential Approval Index rating of -18"

...

Health care? LOL!

"Following passage of health care, enthusiasm for the president among Democrats soared. Today, however, just 49% of Democrats Strongly Approve of Obama’s performance. That’s down from a high of 65%. It remains to be seen whether this is a temporary aberration or the beginning of a lasting change.

Sixty-three percent (63%) of voters nationwide favor repeal of the health care law. That’s the highest level of support for repeal yet measured."

Hope and change? Hardly!!

" Most Americans have “come to believe that the political system is broken, that most politicians are corrupt, and that neither major political party has the answers,” observes Scott Rasmussen. Forty-one percent (41%) of voters say that a group of people randomly selected from the phone book would do a better job than the current Congress."

He sucks, and you drones voted for his Marxist ass! You own this moron!

Pdog, it is ridiculous to try and take the politics out of this massive clusterfuck. I said that I would not turn this into the political thread redux. I won't. However, me pointing out the utter lack of leadership in regards to the current administration is perfectly understandable considering the insane amount of damage that this leak is going to cause. Meanwhile, Obummer and Co. have been sitting on their hands for over a month now!

Again, I point to the Katrina example. Had this been Bush in office I can guarantee you that many on this very thread would be screaming bloody murder about the utter incompetency of the president. His relationship with big bad oil would be brought into question, and his lack of any game plan at all would be bitched about breathlessly, and endlessly. I am merely pointing out the blatant hypocrisy, and double standard. Are you trying to deny any of this?

Obummer has the reverse Midas touch. Everything he touches turns to shit. I, of course, knew all of this a long long time ago.

The US Gov't needs to employ companies who can use different technology
to fight this oil & send all bills to BP.   There are signs that Obama is going to
have to spring into action very soon, despite his penchant for waiting for events
to occur.  Gov Jindal has been calling for Army Corp of Engineers for at least two weeks,
he does not receive a reply.  As the forecast of oil traveling up the
US East Coast, this is now slowly becoming a National Security threat.
Obama is not going to be able to afford to wait out for August for a drilling solution.
He must view this event as an attack, place a battle hardened general in charge
of this operation, chain BP scientists to report directly to this command center to
make action happen.  This is going on far too long.

There appears to be agreement that the private sector response is inadequate and that only government can solve the problem.  The issue now is whether Rand Paul is right that Barack is too hard on Big Oil or whether Sarah Palin is right that Big Oil owns Barack.  Oh yeah, perhaps they're both wrong (and bat-shit crazy to boot).

Spoken just like a "True Believer", BJ. You're probabaly right. The government should just run everything, and then we can live happily ever after. I mean everything that the federal government touches turns out great, right? Smiley

Eric Hoffer had your type pegged years ago. Ever read him?

It was William F. Buckley who famously said-

“I'd rather entrust the government of the United States to the first 400 people listed in the Boston telephone directory than to the faculty of Harvard University.”

Obummer is the ultimate Harvard leftwing arrogant ideological snobbish faculty member. He's screwing the pooch bigtime. It's best just to admit it and move on.

Meanwhile, Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal is still waiting for the Obummer Admin. to do it's job. Barack's response? I gusss we'll know when spokesidiot Robert Gibbs tells us what it is!

"As thick oil flows into the sensitive marshes of the Louisiana coast, Gov. Bobby Jindal called on the White House and BP today to either stop the oil spill or get out of his way.

Gov. Bobby Jindal  warns BP and the White House to help or get out of his way.Jindal is still waiting for the federal government to provide millions of feet in boom and to approve an emergency permit for a state plan to dredge and build new barrier islands to keep the oil from reaching the marshes and wetlands.

Jindal is so desperate for the islands, he's said he'll build them even if it sends him to jail.

"We've been frustrated with the disjointed effort to date that has too often meant too little, too late for the oil hitting our coast," Jindal said."

Dog, Riffy is spot on about how Gov Jindal is getting stiffed by the Gov't-Army Corps of Engineers.  He asked over two weeks ago for this protection for the marsh land & is getting jobbed.  This whole mess will make Bush "Brownie" comment look like Romper Room once the oil makes it's way up the East Coast into the Potomac.  Obama better get out of neutral & get going

He was part of the meeting when BP overruled the management team of the
oil rig, to continue the drilling action despite the presence of a large amount of
rubber debris, which was from the breakdown of a major safety coupling.  I'm not
oil rig saavy, and could have some of the detail wrong, however, the failure of the
coupling was ignored by BP.   The very next day, the day where BP was presented an
award for drilling the world's deepest well, the explosion happened.  This guy jumped
off the rig during the explosion, 10 stories, into a swirling mass of oil & flames.
He was rescued by some fishermen.  He is one lucky dude.
This interview is probably still on the 60 min site, it was really compelling.

Well Buckofarve, he his blowing off a Gold Star breakfast for families of the fallen at the White House on Memorial Day.  He is also blowing off the tradition of laying a wreath at Arlington National Cemetery. He's the commander and chief and some of the fallen died under his command by his orders.  This so he can go to his house in Chicago.  Could he do this another weekend?
