I got closed down 3 times. First time was Jan., second time Feb. and again 2 weeks ago.
I had 700 videos, mostly Stones.
First time was a claim from Promotone, second time was the Ed Sullivan video people, this time it's Abkco regarding a Not Fade Away video with Brian Jones.
You have to file a counter claim. If things go smoothly, you should have your account back in 14 working days.
I'm waiting for mine to be opened again. It does get to be a drag, though, because my account has been closed most of this year, due to the claims by those people.
Youtube will also tell you why your account was closed but you have to ask them.
Posting that "Fair Use" disclaimer didn't do anything. I had it on my channel also but the people putting in the claim just ignore it.
But you CAN get your channel back.
Like I said, you just have to file a counter claim with youtube.
Thanks for that Ultraviolet, I had no ides one could fight those people since they had the copyright claim, but it sounds like it does take a lot of time to get one's account back.
You're welcome, Heart of Stone! You told me before about youtube closing your account because of the Ed Sullivan stuff so I got rid of those on my youtube channel, or so I thought.... I had forgotten to take down a couple and they got me on those. lol!
Thanks for warning me about about those videos.

Seems the "Fair Trade" use works in our favor but copyright owners seem to have nothing better to do than to chase people like us around youtube.
Ironically though, I got my info on how to counter claim youtube from youtube! There are TONS of videos on there with instructions on how to get a suspended account back.
Still waiting to get my channel back....
