The owners agreed to a revenue sharing plan years ago and got a salary cap in return. Therefore they accepted the union as partners and should fully open the books to prove their money demands. Each owner has made millions on paper as their franchises have ballooned in value as well. The real reason they want more $ is taxpayers have wisened up about publically financing new luxury stadiums that only enhance the owner's wealth. I'm with the players on this one and hope the law is too.

Frankly, I think the owners and players need to have a coke and a smile and get the farg over themselves at this point.

Millionaires arguing with billionaires over revenue is stupid.

18 game season is too long. Players get hurt too often as it is.

And no rookie needs $2million up front - Jamarcus Russell anyone?

The barbeque pits at Arrowhead are going to get cold this season at this rate and that would suck!

Agree completely Angie. Except I'd like to see an 18 game schedule. Then again I'd like to see football year around. Oh well Arena football is back in San Jose this year. that should hold me....or not. Undecided

We had arena football in KC for one season. Didn't make it.

I could watch football year round too. I start getting withdrawls around May. Makes my boys nuts!
But I understand why the players want to keep the season down to 16 games. Torn ACLs and head injuries are life altering injuries. Not just hang nails.
College ball is ok.... Undecided

The BCS just makes me batty. Talk about needing an abacus, slide rule and three shot of tequila to figure that mess out.

And my Chiefs were sooooo much better this last year. After five seasons of bad, bad football. stu watching how stupid we are LOL
