just heard from nellicheck. he sends thanks for the well wishes and will return shortly, as soon as pitchers and catchers report. give it time.

i honestly do not believe that joe montana would have lost that game today.

Only if had played as badly as Tom Brady.........In other words. Not a chance.

Brady is the best passer in the game, but the Jets exposed is one weakness.  If you can get to him, he goes down like a house of cards.  Roethlisberger will not go down that easy.  No way.

No way is this a done deal.

After what the Jets did to the Pats, I'm not counting them out.

LJ as a lifelong Steeler fan I agree with you. They were on fire yesterday. The only question I have is will Jets have a let down after such a huge win? Suppose the same could be said of the Steelers and if Jets pull off beating Indy, Pats, Pitt all on the road they will be full measure for the win. But damn the Pack looks unstoppable....(like Pats a while back???)..what a great league and a shame if they mess with labor lock out or 18 games. If it ain't broken............

Packers are actually road favorites against da Bears. Not sure that one's a mortal lock just yet. As for Steelers/Jets. Besides the fact I can't stand Rex Ryan. I will give him credit for gameplanning his off against 2 of the best QB's in the league. But the Steelers are different, because they have a better running game and defense than either the Colts or Patriots had.

How the hell do you lose to a team you fishwhacked 45-3 a few weeks ago?  We're talking all the dope in Vegas.

This is Chapter 2 of "The Dope Files"

And the Pittsburgh Steelers (Nation) roll inexorably to Super Bowl Championship No. 7.  The poise, the moxie, the dope in moderation = Victory!

brady is not what he's cracked up to be. fire in his belly when younger but the edge has been lost nearing middle age (see stones circa dirty work).

only explanation, really. oldo, no playo el guto.

We played a tough Division foe for the 3rd time this year, we lost.
They made more plays than we did.
They were more prepared than we were.
Jets beat us fair & square.
Rex Ryan is a very good defensive mind, which was the difference.

All in all, we had a good season at 14-2, after many
predicted we would have a 8-8 schedule.
We have packed everything up, waiting for April
draft, when we will have 17th, 28, 33rd pick, as
well as four more in the 1st three rounds...

Let's review some of the games this year for our fans here....

Chevy Sales....right, beat you twice, in the words of Dylan "How does it feel?"
LJ.....Bills played well, get a new owner & maybe someday.....
Bucky?  Beat Vikings with your loser Farve after we handed you Randy Moss & your team
fiddled & diddled....
Last but not least....
Robo, Moonie-Beat you on your own field 39-26...
Far as I know, that makes Brady 5-1 vs Stillers...
You can review here....
http://www.post-gazette.com/pg/10316/1102715-66.stm
I still recall AFC Championship in Jan '02, where Stillers players had their
bags packed in the lobby of your stadium, to head to Nawlins for the Super Bowl..
as well as watching grown 300lb Stillers fans crying like babies on Bourbon St.
when the Pats went to the Show & won it all that year....

You know you got the easier team to play this Sunday.
Let's see if Rothesberger can make it to three rings, then we can talk.

Upward & Onward!

We were the #1 seeds, the number one seeds, man. Tough, tough losses at home, unacceptable. I'm pulling for Steelers and Green Bay. Then Steelers. NE just hasn't been the same after they got caught cheating.

Pats cooled off at the wrong time. Both Pats and Steelers started slow like rusty from the week off and were playing buzz saw teams on a roll. Steelers were able to make some half time adjustments and took advantage of the Ravens give aways. Pats seemed in a daze and Jets game plan was brilliant. Nelly correctly points out the gaggle of picks NE has so they aren't going anywhere. Falcons?.....man just a bad day against a team that played perfect. Moving forward nothing would surprise me. Packers are even money to win it all but on any given Sunday!

We took the pipe for every NFL team out there in the cameragate matter, don't forget, we got ratted out by Fredo Mangini.
He did it from the light house @ Gillette when he was here...
SG, you only have to look at your own GM who was involved when he was with the Pats....
Oh, & SG, some things for you....If Pats have not been the same''''
Pats went 18-1 during "cameragate" season...
How many other teams have had 14-2 records...
Brady 19-2 in cold weather starts, Bart Starr is next with 14
Brady went down 1st game of '08 season, Coach B took a qb who had only one start in
four years to a 11-5 record.
Check out the Pats ratings vs. plus .500 teams vs. Falcons...
