It's a little of both... it's basically a track worked close to being release quality, minus lyrics back in 1971 or so. Then they did 2010 vocals and guitar overdubs... sounds like that to me... it's hard to not overthink it, when i hear it... i look forward to hearing the entire bonus disc... i'm still cautiously optimistic.

Very very interesting.

I will reserve judgment on the song until I have listened to it many times, in many states of inebriation, studying its nuances and memorizing every bit.

Wow I can tell you this much ~ it is going to be a RARITY to get your hands on this! It took me over 2 hours on the phone, calling several record shops linked with RECORD DAY APRIL 17, 2010, and only ONE PLACE has ordered it, and only a few copies. So if I want to actually buy this I have to get there when the store opens at 11 AM. I'll be there for sure. Anyone else who is trying to buy this you should call around first, asking if they are getting it in, and get there tomorrow.

US iTunes does not have it.

what a seamless blend of old with the new.  Glad to hear from Nasty that the new vocal fits even better in the mix on the vinyl recording.  I believe they may have created something quite special here, almost accidentally.

I GOT IT!! I got my hands on a copy of PLUNDERED MY SOUL! They are numbered! Each record store only got a few in and there was a 1 per customer limit! I had to go to 3 stores before I was able to find one ~ $9.99 plus tax for a 7 inch vinyl. It's beautiful! I just love it! Too bad I dont have a turntable, but I dont really care about that! I got the new Stones single! I'm so happy! It's so cool!

PMS is not a bad song. A good out-take worked up from 72 (....or that era....).

Still. Aren't Jagger's vocals a bit too Alphie sounding here again? Shouldn't they of been EQ'd a bit to sound a bit deeper and then buried them in the mix just a touch more? To me....this would of been something to look into.

This is my only beef with it. Other wise it's a decent out-take (with better than average lyrics).

I know you dont seem to care for Plundered, Voodoo, but at least all this remastering/revisiting has got Mick and Keith listening to Exile again...

Someone said the vocals sounded like Alfie!
Maybe not that bad, but there was a disconnect -- hearing Mick's late era sound with the ghost of Mick Taylor's slide wailing in the background.  The left side and the right side of the brain were confused.

So I took some medicine that helps me tune the right and left lobes nicely, and perhaps not surprisingly, it sounded better each listen.

Then...whoever posted that Dancing With the Stones thingy...may the Stonesian gods bless you!
I went into a full blown 1972 Exile fest.

Recognizing many of the tunes from Hillside Blues (thank your Rick wherever you are) I abandoned my Saturday household chores for beers and Stones all day.  I put on my balls in mouth Exile shirt, my Stones hat, and explained to anyone and everyone who would listen to me about the new release, the greatness of the original, the bonus tracks, the making of Exile, the unreleased videos that are coming out, the track order on vinyl, the liner notes, etc.
I woke up in the garage at 4am.
Staggered into the house and made coffee and slept on the couch.

Sunday, I attempted to recreate Nellcote in my basement.
I went downstairs in the morning with guitars, harmonicas, slides, picks, amps, hootch, cigarettes and Cheetos, unscrewed half the light bulbs, took my shirt off, got hammered, checked out the sounds and echos of the various rooms, and had little creative fights with myself all day about the particulars of the tracks I laid down.  Since I don't have a studio, everything had to be run upstairs thru the nanky mobile unit - a 2-track 1979 Panasonic tape deck on a lazy susan.  It was way cool.  Got some good material down, that I plan on mastering in LA soon.

This morning my head hurt....  

Good Lord I just watched the video - that could take weeks to sift through all of the footage in there.  What is Charlie doing with the freakin' coat hangers???  

...and then there was a shot of Mick adjusting his business

I may have to bug from work.

How can I be expected to contribute today after all of this?

I need to go make a sequined jump suit.....

this is an album, for some reason, that Jagger seemed to be unwilling to acknowledge or revisit....but I guess we all get to a point where we have to look back....the man is almost 70 years old.

i think, at least it seems from what i read, that they are both starting to realize just how amazing this record is... and how important is has become. with everything great they've done, it loks like they realized, no matter how high the mountain is, this is the top, and it is way bigger than them... it really is great they have decide to see legacy for what it is, not what you think it is....
