Never really thought of it that way, but 'Too Tough' certainly appears to be pretty much the same tune as 'Cellophane Trousers', only with lyrics

Too Tough is definitely the offspring of CT, good call. As for Too Tough/Fight - they're more like cousins, with the same 2-1 chord progression during the chorus, similar beats, and listen to the end of the guitar solo during Fight and the beginning of the one in Too Tough - same dillio.

It started to drag with Ronnie. Love Ronnie, but Mick Taylor gave the live version of that song some real beauty and a beginning and end.
As for Cellophane Trousers, is that the outtake from Black and Blue?
Too Tough doesn't have the great groove of the instrumental.

I submit that every song on this thread, with one exception, is enjoyed by some. The exception, of course, is "Anyway You Look At It". If anyone here actually likes this song, please identify yourself. Anyone who hasn't heard "Anyway You Look At It" and who proposed a different tune as the Stones' worst is operating on insufficient data.
