I will have to dust off my DVD of LGTRS...been about 2 years since last i watched it...

This IS good news...a refreshing air about it especially with all the troubles and pure fan speculations about these last 18 months or so...a sign, though maybe not a SURE sign, but certainly a sign that a 2012 / 50th  might be a serious consideration what with the old catalogue doing a bit of preface footwork...

Hey Gazza...please see my comments/quiries on the VooDoo DVD thread...

Fully restored from the original film, it will be released nationally in cinemas and then receive its first ever authorized DVD release.

It's like i'm dreaming and all my Stones dreams are coming true. Except the dream where i am late on-stage as 3rd guitarist because i am backstage with Marianne, a rug, some dope and a Mars bar.

But this is so great. L&G was the 1st VHS tape i ever owned. In fact, i owned the tape about 6 mths before we got our 1st vhs player! hahaha.

Now, i didnt see this in 74, but i do remember seeing the ad for it when me and a mate went to the Capitol theatre in Swanston St to see "THe Towering Inferno".  I knew who they were of course, but it didnt mean much to me. I have image of Mick's purple jumpsuit embedded in my then 10-11 year old brain.

I'll get the blu-ray and i will cross fingers we get bonus stuff. There's some great footage around that should be included. There's a terrible unauthorised doco that gets repeated here in Oz on "Ovation" channel that feature Mick, in light blue jumpsuit (and a tiara i think!) triggering off the old flash pots by his own foot! Kindy risky, dont ya think?  The stuff from MSG that i have seen was brilliant. Much more exciting than this film. Right until maybe the last song, you dont even see the audience.

Anyway, to see Charlie's puffy sleeves in hi-def will be a treat.
