I heard a rumor somewhere that you guys brought in Mick Taylor to overdub some things. Is that true at all?

I'm not saying it's not true. I'm simply not going to deny.

What else can you tell me about the unheard songs?

Well, as a bass player, I can tell you that Bill Wyman is a genius. He blew my mind, the stuff I heard him play here. He really doesn't get enough credit. The drums were amazing, but everyone knows that Charlie's the greatest.

Welcome back Mick T and Bill.

It may prove a one-night deal - perhaps an HBO special or something, but it's gonna happen and it's gonna be AMAZING.

And don't count out a mini-type tour with the old fellas back on board.

They are going to bow out of of the regular tour thing with an incredible sense of history, presence, and style that befits the single greatest rock act in the history of modern music...

Where did you read that?
In the RS interview (that's also been discussed in the Exile thread), he says he's waiting to hear from Mick.

Does Mick want to cut a new album?
"Hey, you're asking me? You better ask Mick that one [laughs]. But my feeling is that, generally, people get itchy at a certain time. I'm sort of waiting for a phone call, you know?"

And he said more or less the same thing in this excerpt: “There’s no definite plans, but I can’t see any of them stopping,” he says. “I wouldn’t be surprised if we did some recording later this year.” But the guitarist admits he’s uncertain whether any sort of tour would follow. “I don’t know how the rest of them feel about roadwork at the moment,” he tells RS. “Maybe we’ll search for a different way for the Stones to go back on the road. Maybe not the football stadiums anymore. Maybe something different. You can’t go around there in lemon-yellow tights forever.”

You fail to see the forest for the trees.

Look not on the specific wordings regarding an album or tour, but rather to Keith's sudden and open positive gratitude for the work of both Mick T and Bill.

To say nothing of the fact he and Mick worked closely on the re-issue of Exile.

Feel what you wish - but I for one now sense a wonderful announcement coming from our Stones in the not too distant future...

The quote about Bill came from Don Was. Not Keith. See the separate Exile thread. I dont see what Mick and Keith working 'closely' on an Exile reissue (and everything I've read seems to suggest they didnt work too closely at all) has to do with some kind of imminent announcement. And recognising Taylor's greatness isnt that uncommon.

It certainly wont mean Bill Wyman rejoining the band, if thats what you're suggesting.
