I can hear Stu spinning in his grave. And yet there are Stones fans who actually think that their association with this sort of contrived, manufactured cheese-fest is 'cool' ?
Howe did this happen? When it comes to what fans expect or want from the Greatest Rock n Roll band In The World, are
we out of the loop or something?
Fuck me.

We've lived long enough that rock n roll isn't dangerous. America has confused being infamous for famous. Octomom, John and Kate, people faking their kid floating away, etc. So now the Stones are letting the Bible, as Keith called it, be used on AI. ICK!
I played Mother's Little Helper for my youngest son the other day. He didn't get it. That was released before I was born, but by the time I got into the Stones and heard that the first time around 1979 I could still see how releasing a song with those lyrics was a risk that most artists wouldn't take. Midnight Rambler scared the crap out of me when I first heard it. Satisfaction is still one hell of a statement.
The marketing gal in me knows this is part of the publicity machine for the Exile re-release. I just can't help being a little sad about it.
