I never heard a vocalist really "sound" like Mick Jagger. This is what makes Jaggers voice unique.
I've heard several try and sound like him but that sounded forced or purposefull most of the time.
I am stunned how much this guy "truly" sounds almost all around just like Mick Jagger.
*For the first minute of this tune you will be saying hmmmmm it gotta be Mick. Especially when he sings falsetto or grovels. Only in certain segments of this song will you finding yourself sayin "naaah now this isn't Mick I know that much".
It sounds as if he is purposefully singing in the vain of Mick as well. He gotta be. Micks style is all there in much of the song. .
Geez, his voice is so darn on par just with Mick's you could pass it off as Mick if you didn't really, really listen quite closely. Even then you'll find yourself almost saying there is some mistake and it has to be Mick if you didn't totaly listen to certain parts and detect a slight difference.
In fact, you could easily fool almost anyone and tell them Mick Jagger was singing this song and they would never really think twice about it.
**Don't get me wrong, Mick has so many different vocal approaches and there are so many songs where he sings or sounds different (yet you know it's still Mick right away) and as well in so many different era's over the years that I just can't imagine this guy could possibly sound this close to Mick in all the ways Jagger sings/has sung or was recorded (that would actually be frightening it would be so crazy) but I will say this ....in this one particular song, this guy is 95% Mick Jagger without any exaggeration. That's a heck of a percentage ....even if it is just for one song.
Interesting find. wow.
