Still pisses me off how 94 work stoppage ruined that team.

The 1994 Expos were BY FAR the greatest team to never play in a World Series.  That was THEIR year and they had a super team.

Believe it or not I have some hope at last for my Natspos. Maybe a run at .500 after 2 seasons at 100 losses plus.

All eyes are on Stephen Strasburg.

That kid's the Nats crown jewel.
Be interesting to see how they handle his development.

Strasburg dazzles in spring debut
Nats righty tosses two shutout innings, strikes out Cabrera

By Bill Ladson / MLB.com

03/09/10 1:38 PM EST

VIERA, Fla. -- Making his Spring Training debut, Nationals right-hander Stephen Strasburg pitched two scoreless innings against the Tigers at Space Coast Stadium on Tuesday.

In the first inning, Strasburg retired the Tigers in order. His pitches were clocked no lower than 96 mph.

In the second inning, Strasburg faced the tough part of Detroit's order. He threw two 81-mph curveballs to Miguel Cabrera before striking out the slugger on a 98-mph fastball.

The next hitter, Carlos Guillen, grounded out to Ryan Zimmerman on a 97-mph fastball. After giving up consecutive singles to Don Kelly and Alex Avila, Strasburg regrouped and struck out Brent Dlugach looking on an 81-mph curveball.

The No. 1 overall pick in the 2009 First-Year Player Draft, Strasburg threw 27 pitches, 15 for strikes.

Lazy, I actually watched the Strasburg debut on MLB.com. He looked very good in a short stint. Based on the fact the Nats are heading for 0-8 after today with a staff ERA of over 9.00 they may have no choice but start this kid!

That's just it - pre-season only sees starters tossing 2 innings. In the real world, they start to cave, on average, in the 4th and 5th. You're right, gotta start him.

Still getting used to seeing Halladay in a Phillies jersey. Going to be weird not seeing Doc on the hill for the Jays' home opener this year...

Great move signing Mauer long term.

Like their everyday lineup, but their pitching staff is meh.

And Rauch might be better on the T-Wolves...

No more split squad games, no more unknowns wearing number 79 in the lineup...

Sawx - Yanks play for reals tonight at The Fens.

If we don't do big things this year, they're going to slash payroll big time.  Already are chances of keeping Crawford are pretty slim and pretty none.

Let's get it on. Go Giants. Anything short of a division title will be a dissapointment.

Don't forget Bartlett was in that deal, too.
The Twins got a lump of coal.

I like the Rays.
AL East is a tough division, though.

Yeah I don't know what the hell Neil was talking about. They couldn't even keep the Dodgers in florida for spring training.
