The latest release (Pussycat) has 1 outtake with MT on it (Hello Mary Lou).
Wasn't aware of that. ... I'll have to check it out!
Seems like you, Throwaway, and I and the only ones hanging out in this thread. Oh, well; three's a good-enough crowd.
Well, there must be some lurkers, cause this threads got a lot of views!
To add some rhythmic playing tips to this thread:
On Get Yer Ya Ya's, you hear this bit somewhat, but it's more obvious on Love You Live - the rhythm guitar on Sympathy has a neat change. We have the standard shapes of the E, D, A. Then, on Ya Ya's, there's Keiths 5 strings, 3 fingers rhythm, to do the E as 4-5-4-6-4-x, the D as the same shape but a full step lower, then the A as the 2nd fret all the way across. A little trick I've recently learned is to do the E as x-9-9-9-9/11-x to x-9-9-9-x-x (standard tuning, I believe Woody plays this on LYL), the D as the same but a step lower, then the same little lick at the 2nd fret for the A. It's a fun little lick to play as the 2nd rhythm with some lead (major scale) licks thrown in during the verses.
