Chris and I are truly OVERJOYED with the WONDERFUL news! We never ever gave up hope and we are thrilled for our Mary!!!!!!!!! God Bless you LJ and you Gary for everything you've done to help make this day possible. And thanks to everyone who kept vigil and constantly prayed for her. Update: Just got off the phone with Mary's amazing 90 year old Mom, Betty who reports her daughter is doing well although in a lot of pain. She'll be in ICU for 3-4 days. We know that the donor was a 49 year old female who was a registered organ donor. No details of her passing but Mary has the option of calling the donors family when she is better. The Hospital was kind enough to allow Mary to stay on her cell phone with her beloved Mom until they were about to put her under anesthesia. As most of you know Betty cannot travel from New Jersey to Florida because of her age. Mary's final words before surgery "I love you Mom. I'm doing this for you and soon I'll be home to take care of you as you've taken care of me." If that doesn't warm your heart, I don't know what will.

I'm sooooo happy that all of our prayers have been answered and Mary's long period of uncertainty have come to and end...her liver transplant is one of the most invasive surgeries there is, I'm sure she is in tremendous pain...but it will pass and she'll be reunited with her beloved Mom in time for the holidays!
