Dont think he still has that place. He does have another Caribbean home now however, on the Turks & Caicos Islands. He tends to spend a lot of time there around this time of year.

If Mick's appearance urged just one person to donate to the relief effort, it was a good thing.

It was graciuos and caring of Mick to appear. The Skype video wasn't the best but he did a good job in showing his concerrn an d asking for people's donation. Perhaps the band could have announced all merchandise profits from RS.COM would be donated or something along those lines. Hell someone bought Larry's suspenders for cryin out loud. Regardless all of us here should count our lucky stars when you consider the plight of the people there who had nothing to start with.

Mick visited Haiti often enough in the 70's and 80's that the Hotel Olaffson in Port au Prince named a room for him.

Mick Jagger Pleads for Haiti Donations on Larry King Special


   


While the Rolling Stones have been laying low recently, Mick Jagger took to Skype on Monday to plead for donations to help Haitians affected by last week's devastating earthquake. Jagger appeared on Larry King's special 'Haiti: How You Can Help,' which also included musicians such as Ringo Starr, Snoop Dogg, Diddy, Jennifer Lopez, Pete Wentz and Jared Leto manning donation phone lines. The two-hour program raised $5 million for UNICEF and the American Red Cross.

"Haiti is obviously one of the most poor countries in the Western Hemisphere," Jagger said, "and when these terrible disasters happen in a very poor place, the result is magnified over and over and over what it would be in a country more accessible or with more infrastructure left. This is a huge massive disaster for one of the poorest, poorest countries -- it's so poor, it's very hard to describe how poor it is compared to all the other countries in our hemisphere."

"An earthquake is incredibly, physically damaging but it's also psychologically damaging because all the laws that govern your life -- your walking, the ground beneath your feet, everything happening to you -- is destroyed in those moments," he continued. "It's very gratifying to see so much outpouring of help from every country, in every way -- from people giving money, from people sending support groups. I think there's not been one, the slightest hint of problems with people wanting to send money or help every possible way they can."

"People have been wonderfully generous," Jagger said of the relief efforts. He encouraged people to donate by texting "Haiti" to the Red Cross relief fund at 90999 or "Unicef" to 20222. "It's a beautiful country with very welcoming people, with fantastic culture, with wonderful music, with incredible dance and strange history," Jagger said of Haiti. "It's a unique country and it's very, very sad when you see this happening to somewhere you've been."

MICK has alot of love songs on this album, so thats probably why all girls like it and most guys dont.

VISIONS OF PARADISE whats your favorite song, tell me the names of the lovers you had before I came along, dont ask me where all of the pain goes coz you make me feel like I dont know myself, you say that you want me forever, I say love is no crime, tell me the names of the children we'll have at the end of the line, I find myself aching for you.

Great looks, good health, great friends, awesome talent, great unbelievable music career, big family, worldwide fame, beautiful homes, more money than he can spend, all the fun he can handle, travels everywhere, fvcks as many women as he wants to, MICK IS A LUCKY MAN!

I joke about 'Dogshit' cos that's what Keef called it, but Don't Call Me Up is one of the best, most poignant ballads Jagger has ever written about lost love.
Add to that, To Far Gone - these two songs were the best thing he's done since Wandering Spirit and maybe before.
I always thought it was a shame they were saddled with the rest of 'Dogshit' because they were overlooked.
If they had been on ABB, i think they would have been appreciated more.
