OK I had the most realistic Stones dream last night! It was summertime, 2011, and the Stones were opening up the European leg of the tour in PARIS, a Stadium show. Sweet Virginia, Got To Roll Me, Party Doll Meg and myself decided we had to go! SO we did! And we were in Paris walking to the stadium early in the day, to meet up for the Rocks Off Summit! We met at the stadium at a pub inside the venue. We had the room to oursellves and it was a great pre-party celebration. We went to see the show, and the STONES played a 30 song setlist! Two new songs opened up the show. The first song was called Hard Fall. It was a song about Ronnie and the lyrics were along the lines of the bigger you are the harder you go down but the only way is up and now you are back on top ~ Ronnie shredded the guitar solo ~ it was awesome! Song #2 was new, called Jacqueline ~ a sweet ballad like Streets of Love and Angie ~ about a French heartbreaker, unrequited love tale! Next were some rare Stones tunes. Then KEEF did a 3 song setlist. He was wearing a white button down shirt unbuttoned to his waist, a long black tuxedo style coat, he sounded great! He wrote a new song somewhere along the lines of Stand By Me ~ and he called Patti onto the stage and it was a sincere thank you song to her. We were crying when we heard it! Awww KEEF is s softy! After KEEF's set they played 3 cover songs that were a big surprise: Lisa's vocals rocked Bowie's China Girl, they rocked Clapton's After Midnight and Ronnie played an awesome pedal steel guitar on the solo spots, and The Dylan's A Hard Rain's Gonna Fall, and they did it accoustic, Blues-style, MICK was awesome on the harp, and it was way cool. 2 more rare Stones songs, than the usual warhorse finish. It was a fvcking great dream!

I once dreamed that I went to see the Stones in a stadium in London. But instead of playing their songs, they put on a magic show.

During China Girl Lisa was dressed up in a silky Chinese costume and she looked great! Strange that I dont recall Charlie doing anythng special, he just blended in.  MICK did some extra harp playing, too. Yeah this brings new meaning to the phrase 'in my dreams!' I've always wanted to see the Stones in Paris, its so charming there. Maybe we really can arrange a RO summit there next summer! Dreams do come true sometimes! I doubt they would really do a Bowie or a Clapton song, have they ever?  I'm excited about the next tour whenever it is!!

I felt a little tingle after that
