RONNIE WOOD has revealed how regular pep talks from his A-list pals are helping him stay off booze.

The ROLLING STONE struggled to stay on the wagon when first prescribed anti-craving pills and feared a return to rehab.

But bandmate MICK JAGGER and pop pals ELTON JOHN and ROD STEWART rallied round to get behind him.

Model KATE MOSS, 36, has also been calling to support him.

All four have helped Ronnie, 62, stay off booze for two months.

He told a pal: "Now I know everyone's behind me, I'm desperate to give up for good. Mick calls me every few days."

The source said: "He is doing really well."

Hellraising rocker Ronnie Wood clearly got lots of 'satisfaction' from his impromptu trip to Lillie's Bordello with his new girlfriend this week.

The Herald can reveal how the ageing star (62) still knows how to keep a crowd riveted by taking to the stage for an impulse St Patrick's week session in the VIP library area, accompanied by his Brazilian belle Ana Araujo.

The pair have been dating since January but this is the first time they have been publicly spotted out together in Dublin -- a clear sign that their relationship is moving up a notch.

"He came in around midnight with a young lady who was definitely his girlfriend and was in really good form," said an onlooker. "He was chatting with a few people and Lillie's house band were playing on stage in the Library so he decided to get up and join them. No-one could believe it when he hopped up on stage. He grabbed a guitar and played two or three songs, including Satisfaction and everyone's jaws just dropped.

"There was a huge crowd in there by the end of the night. Once word got out that he was in there, everyone wanted to go in and have a look. It's not every day you're treated to a free gig by one of the Rolling Stones."

Wood, who's also an acclaimed painter, has been dating Brazilian polo coach Ana for several months now and has told pals how he reckons she's a good influence on him by helping him curb his excessive drinking.

It's not known if he was downing his usual tipple of vodka and Coke in the Dublin celebrity club or is still on the wagon -- but sources say he was in "very good form" on the night.

The star has stated his determination to stay sober for his new girlfriend and has so far been clean for two months, with rumours that the pair could even marry later this year.

A regular visitor to these shores, he still has his Straffan mansion in Kildare, which he used as a love nest when he first hooked up with previous girlfriend Katia Ivanova (21).

Ronnie's made a couple of guest appearances in recent weeks.

The Faces reunion rumors seem to have lost some steam, but imo it wouldn't be the worst thing if they did get together for some shows.
