Joe had been performing "beck's bolero" every night on his just-
concluded solo tour, in preparation for the tribute. Probably Mick
planned and expected his segment with Joe to be performed with
his own pick-up band, who would rehearse in private, and Eric said
"no you have to rehearse and perform with either the EC or JB band,
same as everybody else"

"see ya later" said Mick, "and also take me out of those movies".
Unspoken: "Doing it your way, Eric, is of no help to the build-up to
the Stones album, in fact it would detract..."

He can no longer hit all the notes. People Get Ready sounded average at best.

Queen guitarist Sir Brian May made an appearance at a show honoring Elvis Presley guitarist James Burton at the London Palladium last night (June 4)

May brought Harry Churchill, an 11-year old guitarist from Britain’s Got Talent, on stage for a jam playing Berry’s “Johnny B. Goode,” according to reports. Churchill went viral earlier this year after appearing on the British reality competition playing a medley of Queen hits on guitar.

Rolling Stones guitarist Ronnie Wood also made an appearance performing the standard Suzie Q, among other songs. Van Morrison also strapped on a guitar for the song, Worried Man Blues.

A touched Burton said of the one-night only event: “I can’t wait to do [this] again.”

Every second breath you take comes from the Ocean thanks to phytoplankton. And phytoplankton thrive where there are whales. Biologists estimate whales populations have significantly declined, some more than 80%, from pre-industrial whaling levels.
It is incomprehensible how parts of the world is still allowing these intelligent, sociable and biologically irreplaceable animals to be hunted and killed in the most inhumane and barbaric of ways.
Unless the Icelandic government decides to act immediately, whales will once again be slaughtered in their waters this summer. We will be there on land and water to do what we can to disrupt the hunt but we need your help too
🐋CALL FOR CHANGE: Call on Icelandic authorities, urging them to permanently ban whaling and to prioritise the conservation and protection of whales.
