I hope all fans of the Band will listen to this show. Loved Ronnie Hawkins and the Hawks tearing into Who Do You Love, hearing the story of Robbie's unforgettable encounter with Bo Diddley in his hotel room, the secret to the popping sound in the snare drum and the frightening sight of Howlin Wolf singing under a single blue light.

I'm reading Levon's book for the 2nd time now and have been drenching my ears in music of the Band. They were the best.

Faces' Ronnie Wood & Kenney Jones On Planet Rock

Tune in on Friday for an exclusive interview

RONNIE WOOD and KENNEY JONES are in the studio on Friday night after 6pm to talk to Nicky Horne about their reunion, the future and about a recently announced live show that the band will be playing at the Chakravarty Cup.

The two rock legends will be in the studio to talk about why they reformed without Rod Stewart and what the future holds for the band.

'The Chakravarty Cup presents Polo Rocks' is to be held at Hurtwood Park Polo Club on 23 July with an international polo match to entertain you in the afternoon with music in the evening which will feature a Faces reunion concert!

The reformed 'Faces' featured original members Ronnie Wood, Kenney Jones and Ian McLagan, plus Glen Matlock (Sex Pistols), and vocals from Mick Hucknall (of Simply Red).

Ronnie Wood says: "We got together to receive a PRS Lifetime Achievement award in 2009 and very simply the magic was still there. Playing with the boys again just felt right so we thought well why not? It's exciting to be on this path again and I hope that the Faces fans are excited as we are."

Kenney Jones says: "When we realised at the PRS Awards we hadn't played a live gig since 1975 we just couldn't believe it! The timing is just right, we can feel the excitement and we cannot wait to be back on stage playing to a live audience again!!"

Rod Stewart Refuses To Rejoin The Faces Until Wood Quits Stones

Rod Stewart has ruled out joining the reunion of his former band The Faces unless guitarist Ronnie Wood quits The Rolling Stones.

The Stay With Me hitmakers reunited last year (10) but were forced to take on Simply Red singer Mick Hucknall after their former frontman Stewart refused to join them for the comeback.

Now the Maggie May singer has revealed his reason for shunning his ex-bandmates - he is concerned Wood's heart is not in the reunion because he is still "committed" to his work with the Stones.

Stewart tells Billboard, "The trouble with Ronnie, we get together and we mess about, but the thing is, he is still committed to the Stones. Talking for myself and the rest of the band, we need a commitment, not just, 'Well, I've got next month off'. It doesn't work like that. It's not very professional.

"If he can give us the time, then I'll commit to that as well. Until he's finished with the Stones, whenever that will be, I can't commit to it. I'd love to. I really would love to."
