New to the board

Hi All,
I've followed this board on and off for a year or so and decided I wanted to register. Ive been a huge stones fan for years now, yet I have only seen them twice. The first was 2006 in New Jersey and the second was 2007 for my 16th birthday I flew to Ireland to see them. Im looking forward to being able to share some of my passion for the Stones with others, it's tough to find young stones fans these days..

I've got a lot of family over there-- all a couple years older than me-- so we had a good time together. I got right up to the fence on Keith's side, It was the closest I've ever been to the stage. What an amazing show.

To tell you the truth I'm not too crazy about Emotional Rescue.. Though, I will admit I don't think I've given it enough of a chance. Im not as crazy about a lot of the Stones stuff after the 70's.. but Im always willing to listen. I guess Im going to contradict myself here because I know Undercover is even newer than ER, but I like it better. I love live versions of Wanna Hold You, but thats probably because I love anything Keith sings ESPECIALLY You Got the Silver. I like She Was Hot best, as well as All The Way Down and Must Be Hell, but Im more of a Let It Bleed, Sticky Fingers girl-- I recently bought the LP's of both to add to my collection and have em hangin on the wall. Anyway, I really dig the blues so the further away they got from their roots in the beginning the less likely I am to like it.. I mean this might just be me but compare some of their 80'a 90'a to a kick ass song like Sway and there is just no comparison in my mind.

So Some Guy and PA youre telling me ER and Undercover are holding higher ranking for you than Let It Bleed??

LIB ain't got it's own appreciation society.

NOPE...It's just that UNDERCOVER is a true guilty pleasure for me...I was more interested in a younger fans thoughts on ER...what many folks call the height of the Stones "Disco phase"...UC being the first album they put out for the MTV era...I consider those vids from Tattoo You to be much more as promo stuff ( like IORR vid)...and not true MTV gen fodder...

Let It Bleed...my first Stones LP...given to me by my older sister around 1977...good times!!!
