If you think Nugent deserves it what about about Roky Erikson?

For me Nugent is fairly unimaginative lumpen - rock - record sales and guitar technique have nothing to do with it (imho) -

i've never been keen on the idea - halls of fame are for sports people

rock and roll and museums are antithetical

i don't mind the memorabilia thing so much (tho it has it's limits ) - it's just that  something as subjective as the worth of music and musicians does not fit with orders of merit  based on Jann Wenner's point of view

i suppose you could, as with sports, rely on objective data - i.e. statistics - on that basis the hall of famest bands should be those who made the most money and sold the most records and concert tickets - this has possibilities, tho gathering credible evidence would be problematic  - awards for the most sex had and drugs talk (both quantity and variety) and the like...

and the award for the most suicides in one band goes to.. Badfinger!! (cue Baby Blue)
