Report: Tiger paid 2 women to keep quiet about sex tape

Tiger Woods made regular hush money payments to quiet two girls he had a threesome with on tape, The New York Daily News reported Sunday.

The fidelity-challenged superstar golfer was in bed with the pair in Phoenix three years back when he noticed one of them taking pictures or videotaping him with the other girl, the newspaper said, citing a source familiar the situation.

“"Tiger goes ballistic. He starts chasing the girl around. She runs out the door. He runs out after her. I don't know how much clothing either of them is wearing, but Tiger finally catches up with her and grabs her cell phone or camera or whatever it was that had the evidence,” the source said.

Recognizing the danger the situation posed to Woods’ hundreds of millions of dollars in endorsement money, his handlers decided to make regular payments to the women to keep them quiet, the Daily News said.

It's not known what happened to the recording.

Meanwhile, Woods' wife Elin was out on the town on Saturday night, leaving him at home with the children, according to reports Sunday on entertainment news website RadarOnline.

Publishing photos of Elin Woods accompanied by a girlfriend, but minus her wedding ring, the website said Elin partied and had dinner at the Dolphin hotel in Orlando, Fla.

RadarOnline was the site that reported on Friday that Woods was back in Orlando after undergoing counselling for sex addiction, but that he and his wife were living separately.

“The marriage is not good,” one source close to them told RadarOnline.com. “She barely interacts with him.”

Woods, who has been linked to at least 14 other women during his marriage, reportedly was minding the couple's two children while his wife was out on the town. Woods has not been seen in public since lurid allegations about his private life emerged in November last year.

MARANA, Ariz. -- Tiger Woods will end nearly three months of silence Friday when he speaks publicly for the first time since his middle-of-the-night car accident sparked stunning revelations of infidelity.

However, his agent said Woods will not take any questions from a small group of media.

"This is not a press conference," Mark Steinberg said Wednesday, adding Woods will speak about his past and what he plans next, along with apologizing for his behavior.

It will be Woods' first public appearance since Nov. 27, when he crashed his SUV into a tree outside his Florida home. Woods' only comments since then have been made through his Web site.

Steinberg said Woods is to speak at 11 a.m. Friday from the clubhouse at the TPC Sawgrass in Ponte Vedra Beach, Fla., home of the PGA Tour.

"This is all about the next step," Steinberg told The Associated Press. "He's looking forward to it."

He said three wire services would be invited, and he was asking the Golf Writers Association of America to pick a small group of reporters to serve as a pool. Steinberg said there would be one pool camera, but it would be available live via satellite.

The news comes during the Accenture Match Play Championship in Arizona, which is sure to steal attention away from the first big event of the year. Accenture was the first sponsor to drop Woods when he became embroiled in a sex scandal.

"It was a matter of timing," Steinberg said.

When asked if Woods' appearance could have waited until after Accenture's tournament, he replied, "No."

Woods has been on an indefinite break from golf and hasn't spoken publicly since crashing his SUV outside his home on Nov. 27, which was followed by media reports detailing extramarital affairs.

"I have let my family down and I regret those transgressions with all of my heart," Woods said in a December posting to his Web site. "I have not been true to my values and the behavior my family deserves. I am not without faults and I am far short of perfect. I am dealing with my behavior and personal failings behind closed doors with my family."

Woods has 71 PGA Tour victories and 14 major titles.

I predict he will give up golf and declare celibacy and become a monk.

Stones music at the Woods home, Elin is playing SHE's SO COLD! Tiger's going to have to beg her to fvck him again, so what kind of a marriage is it now anyway? The reconciliation is for public appearances, to save Tiger's image. I say end the marriage, Tiger goes back to fvcking as many women as he wants to, Elin gets a boatload of money, and everyone moves on. The kids will survive, they will still have love, attention and everything money can buy. It's only a matter of time till the marriage unravels anyway, so why delay, just end it now and start fresh! There's no going back. Or as Dylan says, you can always go back, but you can't go back all the way. I love that line! Everyone already knows Tiger is a womanizer at this point, so why not go with that image? Everyone doesnt fit into the stereotype mold of 'happy family man'! What about 'happy horny, rich & single man'! People can choose that life too, and it's more fun!!! You know what the problem is? Society wants us all to fit into the 'mold' and it takes balls to break out of it and say I'll live my life as I please and I dont care what everyone else thinks! What an arrogant bastard this guy is. He schedules his non-press conference tomorrow. The same time that the Accenture match play championships are going on. Oh by the way. Accenture was one of the sponsors that dropped him recently. As for his return to golf. He is rumoured to be playing at a non PGA event at Isleworth. A private club near his home. Then onto the Arnold Palmer tournament at Bayhill. Again close to home with a friendly crowd. Then onto the Masters and their snooty galleries. I'd like to see him play a public muni in New York and judge how the public really feels about him.
