I just heard "Maggie May" on the car radio this evening, and I was knocked out by memories of hearing it in the family car as a kid.  It sounded both show-bizzy and mold-breaking tonight, as if back then the radio reins were being handed over to a newer set of practitioners than the Blood, Sweat & Tears / Chicago types that had been ruling it the previous summers.

You hear the slow, sad fade of that when Ronnie ends "Oo La La" in Moscow.
