love the youtube. anyone remember seeing it live? obviously not as big as beatles/elvis...but close? were there any other british bands on between the beatles and the stones?

coincidentally, this 45th anniversary of the stones' appearance on sullivan isn't the only notable anniversary today. we also have:

-609 years since the death of chaucer
-594 years since Agincourt
-65 yeears since Leyte Gulf
-20 years since the last time joey saw a naked woman whose legs weren't wrapped around a pole
-7 years since the death of Paul Wellstone
-6 years since the birth of my oldest (in other words, the last night i got some real sleep)

and, lest we forget 1,187 years since the cubs last won the world series.

I'm surprised this is still on Youtube, Allen Klein or Ed Sullivan people took my Sullivan Stones performances of & youtube deleted my account, I had the full version of this (Time is on my side) there's a longer version of this where Mick does the talking part, this version is taken from 25x5, as for any other British bands between the Beatles & The Stones, lots, some were very popular, like the Dave Clark 5, Gerry & The Pacemakers, The Animals, Herman Hermits were the most popular, like Keith said in a interview, if we had Gerry & pacemakers on the same bill, the girls would scream even more, or something to that extent.

Yeah, I kinda figured that.  Girls were crazy in that period. The societal restraints from the 1950's were shattered in that decade and the British Invasion helped greatly.
