That's a great review partydoll, thanks, you should work for a magazine & review rock concerts.

Oh I wish I would have been there last night so I could have reviewed it!! Wink

That was a review from a Bruce fan on Backstreets....

Unfortunately, my writing skills are a little lacking.... Grin

What a night.  Oh to have had an extra $2500 stashed away...it would have been worth it.  Thanks to all for making me feel like I was there with the pictures and postings.

That $2500 didn't include fees.  It was posted on page 1 of this thread.

I think a few of the tickets are 'normally' priced. There were drops for tonight's show yesterday or the day before for about $150 or so, I believe.

As fantastic as these shows sound, the ticket prices turn my stomach.  When did Rock & Roll become the exclusive property of the wealthy?

And what the hell was Tom Morello doing there? Raging against the machine? His guitar said "Arm the Homeless" and he's pointing it at people who can afford to pay $2500 to hear some rock & roll songs? And singing a Joe Strummer song to boot?
...
There are some mixed messages there, methinks.

Think I alluded to similar feelings when the shows were announced (on the Springsteen thread, I think). The irony is obviously lost on that prick Jann Wenner.

In light of last night's guest spots, it's reasonable to assume that Mick will do 2-3 songs tonight.

Nice...

When I saw Street Sweeper Social Club opening for Nine Inch Nails and Jane's Addiction, his guitar had the Shining Path logo.

Supposedly U2 have rehearsed 'Gimme Shelter'.

Patti Smith has also been rehearsing with U2, so Mick won't be their only guest tonight.
