Just because someone has a talent that you appreciate, it does not make him/her incapable of deplorable acts.

I m not a Mama’s and Papas fan, so perhaps that is why I can see beyond the supposed talented singer/songwriter and confront what could very well be the truth.

So what is she is out to gain money? It doesn’t banish her from the right to tarnish a sick mans legacy. Maybe it is a crop-of-shit and she’s lying bitch, but maybe, just maybe, she isn’t.

I only see one person - Jizzy - questioning whether or not she's telling the whole truth.

And without speaking for him, I'd imagine his doubts arent based on any blind admiration for John Phillips but mainly due to the fact that he conveniently happens to be dead and therefore unable to defend the allegations as well as the fact that his daughter happens to have a book to promote and has a track record of being a bit of a headcase.

If its true, I don't think anyone would claim that he's anything other than a sick bastard, but it;s a bit odd that she's only coming out with this 'secret' now.

You are absolutely correct about incest victims families often not believing them That is a sickness in itself I would think. However, it doesn't sound as if Mac were so much a victim as a willing participant. How she can possibly see this as helping her sell records is tough for me to understand. There was a gleam in her eye when she said "after all I was 18, who would not want to be with Mick Jagger". She dug it. This will be the highlight of the book. The stuff with her father can never be verified. Not saying it did not happen, however, that it did occur in her words, from age 18-29 is a bit much already. There comes a time to walk away, so why didn't she? Either under a Jim Jones spell or she really was-is Baked Alaska. Move on.

BTW, I've not seen O in about five years. She's not doing her body any favors with this yo-yo seefood approach to dieting....
