Wishing anyone that celebrates Labor Day a safe and festive day!
All the best to the Wildwood folk - TomL if you are capable of focusing, have a great weekend!
Hosting a little BBQ here in Sweet Virginny.
Showcasing chicken with 3 BBQ sauces from upstate NY - we upstaters aren't just good lookin and smart y'know - we like BBQs too!
Cornell sauce on rib-in breasts and boneless thighs
Salamida's Spiedie sauce from near Binghamton on cubes of skewred boneless breast
And Brooks House of BBQ original from Oneonta on pulled rotisseri chicken for sammiches
Kingsford Competition Briquettes - accept no substitutes.
Baked beans, tater salad, mac salad, cole slaw, corn on the cob.
And beer.
Nanky, I picked up Salamida's for the 1st time last summah, really good.
I've not tried the Kingsford Competition yet, will have to look for it.
This summah, I discovered Trader Joe's charcoal. It's from Argentina,
has a high burning point, which is working out wicked pissah.
Tomorrow, up @ 5A to fire Das Smokenator for slow 8 hour watah smoke on the Webah.
This is the brisket from the 4th, using the Smokenator
Enjoy your bash!
Hope everyone has a Wicked Pissah Labor Day!
