Which age do you have got when you've listen about and of the Stones, your first time?

and which was your first Stones tour?
Which memories you carry and had grab with you?

well, mine first time was been in Turin for the tour so called here Urban Jungle
and in the USA was Steel Tour. ut were 1982, in July.

Amazing!

For me too were the sixties. I was smaller.
Heard them.. with my brother.. and we had not to choose between them or the Beatles.

I was become the Italian Ruby when I didn't know what does meant the lyrics.. and I didn't understood English yet.. Learnt in London..

Reply #5 - Aug 16^th, 2009 at 1:50pm i was also around 12 years old, i had a portable slimline radio shack tape recorder and a double cassette of their greatest hits. my first show was a bus tour from toronto to buffalo in '80 or '81...whatever year it was they played there.

I´ve been listening to the Stones since I was a child. My parents and two uncles are huge fans of them so they introduce me to their music when I was about 5 or 6 years old. My first Stone record was Voodoo Lounge and that was the moment I just decided to know them better cause I only knew the classics,Brown Sugar,Satisfaction,Start Me Up,etc.

I believe ´94 was the year when I become a really really Rolling Stones fan. I attended my first concert at Foro Sol a.k.a Autódromo Hermanos Rodriguez in January 15,1995. I´ll never forget that day!! I went to their following concerts in Mexico City for the next tours in ´98 and ´06.

I´d like to see them in a concert outside Mexico,maybe in the States if they decide to tour in 2010. Ouch!

1. Ten. "Angie" was the first Stones record I ever heard. "Get Stoned" (a 1977 TV advertised greatest hits album) was the first one I ever bought.

2. First tour - 1982 Slane Castle.

In the early '60's, my older siblings bought Beatles rather than Stones.

Became a big fan after hearing Let It Bleed in 1969, which was a Christmas present from Santa to my sister.
The next year Santa brought my sister Get Yer Ya-Yas Out, and I was hooked.

First Stones concert was the Nicaraguan Benefit Concert in 1973.
Last Stones concert was Los Angeles 1975.

Well, I was/am a big fan of Woody's guitar style, but only as he played with The Faces. I think his current style of playing doesn't work with the Rolling Stones songs. His playing is too apprehensive.

I was completely unimpressed with the 1975 show. Every song sounded the same to me. Years later when Love You Live was released, it reaffirmed to my ears that they had lost the magic, IMO. (Tumbling Dice may be an exception)

I still listen to the Brian Jones era material often, and the Mick Taylor era is always a treat. Unfortunately (for me) Ronnie hasn't lived up to the task of being a musician in the Stones. All he brings is a hair-do. My loss . . .

PS I prefer to watch European Football myself. A slower game as far as points go, but more athleticism.

To be competely hoenst, I agree with you. Ronnie have never suit well the Stones.. also he still trust to be took cause he liked to Keith. As way of living, they had said.
But if you take a look on Ron.. is a complete ruine. Mick was been the best after Brian, IMO I think.
But anyway I still like listen Mick sing.. can't hate them...
In some few songs they can save themselves..
But the magic, was been losted in the seventies...

I was eight and i remember hearing Angie on the radio, then seeing it that video (Don Kirshner?)
but i hated it, i was annoyed by jagger's exxagerated voice and expressions....lol
In 1978, hearing Miss You everwhere, jagger still annoyed me with that voice, but it was weirdly appealing...
I saw the geraldo rivera 20/20 segment on the 78 tour, some girls etc....and still i wasn't a fan .....but again, weirdly appealing, but i resisted it because at this point, i had been a strictly am radio kid and the stones were just too much, too freaky for my barely pubescent sensibilities.
It wasn't until i read an article with Linda Ronstadt talking about she loved Jagger's ballad singing (I loved my sister's Linda albums and figured if she was a fan, then i had to be missing out on something, and i loved her version of Tumbling Dice)
and then, and i can't place the time exactly, but it had to be somewhere in late 78 or early 79, and i watched the stones on SNL, looking completly debauched and wasted and i had my Patti Smith moment - the wierdly appealing became downright intoxicating and i was hooked forevermore.
It took a while, but they finally got me.

At 14 I broke down and bought Get Your Ya Yas Out and Made In The Shade starting a near obsession that continues to this day. I've seen all their tours since '81.

it's a ground floor row section as far as I know, never took no pass on that, this is a Maple Leaf Gardens ticket stub, so whatever they had back then in '72.

My father used to play a cassette of the UK debut in the car when I was about four or five. I particularly recall Mona, Route 66 and Walking the Dog. I was also very intrigued by the guy on the sleeve wearing the waist coat: mainly because I found it chilling that he drowned and that he lived at the home once owned by the Winnie The Pooh author.
