I found this curious...maybe just Deja Vu...the New rolling Stone cover just made me flashback to the old Cassidy cover (which was "shocking" at the time)...I recall the controversy (for lack of a better word) because a teen idol showed pubic hair!!! Now we have an American Idol coming out of the closet...and no one cares...at least no one I know...how the times have changed.

Yeah, I remember the one of David Cassidy, I worked at a place in '71-'72 that distributed magazines & books, he wasn't very popular with us rock loving teen crowd, he was considered teenybopper & definitely not liked, I heard after this came out, his Mother-in-law, Shirley Jones (or mother partridge) went into hiding for a while.

I recall that the producers really were not happy about this cover...he was 19 at the time (I think)...
