Hello, new member, long time stones appreciator.
Just curious, I know there aren't that many, but what's the best book book covering exile, as far as the actual making of the album goes. I've heard the one in the 33 1/2 series is disapointing, and that the John Perry book is pretty good, and after reading reviews and reading parts at the bookstore, I don't think Season in Hell would be that great a read.. any suggestions?

Hi there Moon, good to see you here.

Season in Hell is a bit of a disappointment considering how good Bob Greenfield's other book from that era ("Journey Through America") was.

Dominique Tarle's coffee table book would be the obvious answer I suppose (I don't own it, personally) although you'd probably have to sell a few coffee tables to pay for it.

I liked John Perry's book. He actually mailed me many years ago to contribute to it for some reason. He did a pretty good job without me, though!
