Stones At Isle of Wight

So, I got HD TV last week (finally! Thank you, Obalama!!!)and it's as awesome as I'd heard it would be. I now get a channel called "Palladia" which features musical performances of all sorts. Last night they featured the 2007 Isle of Wight with the Stones & some lesser acts. During Ain't Too Proud To Beg, Amy Winehouse joined Mick in singing. I had forgotten how horrid she was. She didn't know the words & she played with her sexy hair the whole time. What was Mick thinking(with?)?

Definitely not Ms. Winehouse's finest hour.

Check out the thousand yard stare about halfway through - right before she completely spaces on the lyrics...

Amy refused to rehearse - hence the trainwreck performance. Her own set was very good though.

Think there might've been some imbibing and/or indulging in the hours between her set and the Stones?

It appears things haven't changed much with Amy:

The week started off with many concertgoers saying no, no, no to Amy Winehouse's appearance at the St. Lucia Jazz Festival last weekend. The concert--her first of 2009--was supposed to be the famously beehived and beleaguered Brit singer's "comeback" gig, but spectators were more just taken aback by what they witnessed at the Caribbean fest. Her performance was reportedly a trainwreck, with Amy struggling to remember her lyrics and stumbling all over the stage in what appeared to be a state of (surprise!) intoxication. And when audience members inevitably heckled her, Amy lashed back with a string of Cockney-accented expletives. Then it started to rain, which caused her to become distracted and lose her balance.
Amy's damage-controlling reps later cited the stormy weather as the reason for the concert's plug being prematurely pulled (rather than, say, all the audience booing that drove her from the stage), saying in an official statement: "Amy would like to express her disappointment that weather forced the abandonment of her show at the St. Lucia Jazz Festival on Friday night. Amy and the band tried to soldier on but the set had to be cut short. Amy is very disappointed, as St. Lucia has been wonderful to her and its people have welcomed her with open arms, but circumstances beyond anyone's control meant that this special show did not go as planned."
Amy has been spending much of her time in St. Lucia as of late and has even announced plans to move there permanently, but after this debacle, we'll see just how much longer St. Lucia's people "welcome her with open arms."

dude.  you need to watch more american tv.  there are a lot of talanted people out there.  sure she is an ok singer, but she just pussy foots around as she 'TRIES' to dance.  it is hard to find a gal who can do both at the same time, be multi talanted, so as to speak.

Shit!

Those "multi talented" women that sing and dance usually aren't really singing.

They're lip synching.

Trust me "dude", I dont. Really. And certainly not reality TV, which in general is the last refuge of the cutlturally bereft.

I've never in my life bought a concert ticket or a record based on someone's ability to dance, so I don't see what your point is.
