Last night I went to see the Million Dollar Quartet.

For those of you that do not know what the Million Dollar Quartet is (or was) - ya'll need to get the fuck out of this thread now and save yourself some embarrassment.

As I was sayng...
I received tickets to this show as part of my birthday present.  I was a little reluctant to go, to be honest (or I would have purchased these for myself when they first went on sale).

All I can say is, "Oh...my...God!"

In one word:  "FLOORED!"

Sadly, this show is running in Chicago through June with plans on moving on to Broadway with the hopes of touring Europe in early 2010.

If anyone has the opportunity to check it out...DO IT!

what a great idea for a band that can multi task and sing songs from 4-5 of the classic artists. good idea on their part.

I got this tape of the real thing years ago. Someone had luckily turned on the tape machine. It's a jam session not a show. But I understand and appreciate the work put in by this send up. Wish I could see it. I'm a big fan of these 4. Jerry Lee Steal the Show, Elvis was actually at the Piano until the Killer Showed up. Can you imagine. What a group. Cash  Carl Killer and the King.
