The Toronto Drug Bust all over again!
Don't worry, Keith Richards did not get busted in Toronto again like in the infamous incident in 1977. The Toronto Drug Bust (TDB) is the name of a new band from Slovenia which is set to release its debut album Enfant Terrible sometime in May. The band's engine is singer/songwriter Sir Izak K.O. and the album is produced and mixed by Rami Helin of the Finnish band Turku Romantic Movement. Enfant Terrible was partly recorded in London and partly in Ljubljana - the mixing and mastering was done in Helsinki. It's an international album of songs in English and its release will be international as well. Currently the band is still negotiating a distribution contract with some record labels across Europe.
"Why the name? I don't know. One day it just hit me. The Stones have always been a big influence on my music - that's why I started to write and play guitar in the first place. And since Keith Richards has by now stood every test of time maybe some of that stamina will rubb off on TDB as well (laughs). Also I think that particular incident (the actual Toronto drug bust in 1977) represents a new beginning, an end of an era, a clash between the authority and the artist ... Death and birth at the same time I guess," says Sir Izak K.O of TDB.
One song The Best Of Me (before its official release) of TDB has been put online on the link
www.myspace.com/torontodrugbust, while the official site is still under construction. The same song is also available on YouTube and Last.FM.
