Let's learn from MainMotels, not to be offensive on this board, he, she, got blocked, because it was a negative response about a people, nation, sexual life style, or whatever, I tip my hat of to the people who run this web, I can understand somebody who is totally out of control, as far as I am concerened the person must have been either, insane, on drugs or a totally out of control drunk, & I'm glad it was looked after, I never want to see this again.

the israelis aren't heroes. how may palestinians have died in gaza in the last few weeks? about four days ago, abc news reported 450 palestinian dead compared to 4 israeli.

*I am an American and I'm used to everyone hating us or making fun of us lol ...Heck, I make fun of myself all the time. Still though, I am proud to be an American (as the Greenwood guy once said).

Sure I don't always agree with Big Bro ...but still I enjoy this countries good aspects. And yes there are still tons of those good aspects. No country is perfect.

As for MM ...well he got drunk and fed up with certain happenings, apologized for his "hate" thoughts (or at least for posting them...we can't have all that around here and he knows that), and that's that. We all have done, and said things we regreted when we were tanked. Let's not throw the person totally to the wolves for it. He did not rob a bank..

Personally I surely don't want to see any more bloodshed in that, or any region. Why would anyone? It isn't my land, it isn't my right to have that much hate, or any strong belief to that matter because as for myself and my family, we have absolutely no part in that nor did our ancestors so how could I have a real strong belief, let alone any "say" in all that. It isn't my business but I wish the violence would end some how. That's how I feel.

As for the excuse that there's no Stones activity, it doesn't matter. If we're going to discuss the Stones on a Stones forum, it doesn't have to necessarily be dependent on 'news'. There's 46 years of history, a couple of dozen albums. about 350 songs and over 2,000 shows for people to analyse,reminisce and argue over. Start a thread on something Stones-related. You may be surprised how many people might be interested.

As for the excuse that there's no Stones activity, it doesn't matter. If we're going to discuss the Stones on a Stones forum, it doesn't have to necessarily be dependent on 'news'. There's 46 years of history, a couple of dozen albums. about 350 songs and over 2,000 shows for people to analyse,reminisce and argue over. Start a thread on something Stones-related. You may be surprised how many people might be interested.

Initially expected this fall as a fourth-quarter blockbuster, U2's next album has been pushed to early 2009 while the band continues to write and record material. "I thought a while back we might have the album wrapped by now, but why come up above ground now if there's more priceless stuff to be found?" Bono writes on U2.com.

Of late, the group has been recording in the south of France, having already logged time in Fez and Dublin with longtime collaborators Brian Eno, Daniel Lanois and Steve Lillywhite.

'We know we have to emerge soon but we also know that people don't want another U2 album unless it is our best ever album," Bono says. "It has to be our most innovative, our most challenging...or what's the point ?"

Bono says the band now was "50 or 60" new songs to consider for inclusion on the follow-up to 2004's How to Dismantle an Atomic Bomb.

"The last two records were very personal, with a kind of three piece at their heart, the primary colors of rock -- bass, guitars and drum," he says. "But what we're about now is of the same order as the transition that took us from The Joshua Tree to Achtung Baby."

Among the songs in the mix are "Get on Your Boots," "For Your Love," "Breathe," "No Line on the Horizon" and the eight-minute "Moment of Surrender." One source who has heard several of the works-in-progress describes them to Billboard as "amazing and a little out there. I hope they don't change anything."

"I'm always the one who underestimates how easy it is to simply 'put out the songs now.' If it was just up to me they'd be out already!" Bono says. "But early next year people will be able to start hearing what we've been doing. We want 2009 to be our year, so we're going to start making an impression very early on."
