Nah...Just got tied into coaching my boy's football team...I gotta say, coaching those kids is the most fun I've ever had...It was the Boys Club team so there were lots of crack babies on the team...They lost in the championship in double overtime...lots of tears....and I learned never to doubt my kid...He went from not knowing the difference between offense and defense to making the post season traveling team...My only goal for him when the season started was that he not quit...He wants to play running back but the league won't let him...Because of his size, he has to wear a sticker on his helmet that tells the other kids that it's not a good idea to get in his way unless they want to get seriously hurt...I was thinking that such a sticker might be a good idea in the real world too...Sure would cut down violent crime

Youth sports are awesome...I had coached baseball before, but never football...an entirely different experience...These were 8 and 9 year olds, so it was really a matter of finding out which kids weren't afraid of getting hit...At that age, they learn so fast and for the kids who finish and don't quit, it's a real sense of accomplishment...As a coach, you really just try and teach these kids that practice makes perfect...and it's really rewarding when they play well
