Best 99 cents I've ever spent...Life By The Drop

Has anyone else on the planet heard of this song by Stevie Ray Vaughn "Life By The Drop" or am I just the last person to have ever heard this song?
:

Hello there, my old friend
Not so long ago it was 'til the end
We played outside in the pouring rain
On our way up the road we started over again

You're livin' a dream....wo you on top
My mind is achin'....lord it won't stop
Thats how it happens....livin' life by the drop

Up and down that road in our worn out shoes
Talkin' 'bout good things and signin' the blues
You went your way....i stayed behind
We both knew it was just a matter of time

You're livin a dream....wo you on top
My mind is achin'....lord it won't stop
That's how it happens....livin' life by the drop

No wasted time....we're alive today
Churnin' up the past....there's no easier way
Time's been between us....a means to an end
God it's good to be here walkin' together my friend

You're livin a dream....wo you on top
My mind is achin'....lord it won't stop
That's how it happens....livin' life by the drop
That's how it happens....livin' life by the drop
That's how it happens....livin' life by the drop

I'll shoot it to you straight and look you in the eye
So gimme just a minute and I'll tell you why

Saw SRV live in Toronto with Dire Straits as headliners. Awesome show but the order of the bands should have been reversed.

Thanks Meg...I was driving around LA last weekend and I heard this song on the radio. I thought how did I not know about this incredibly cool SRV song. But now I do know.

I had the privilege of seeing SRV three times before his untimely passing.

This is an interesting interview. In it, he references the English blues movement as part of his influences:

Thanks EG for this great video, I like how me demonstrates on guitar what songs he's talking about, like the way Freddy King plays Hideaway, & Clapton, he's a great guitarist & very missed, at least by me.
