Rolling Stones photos from their legendary 1976 European Tour
"It’s 1976. I am standing in the Earls Court Stadium, London, waiting to photograph the Rolling Stones. I’m surrounded by thousands of people, the atmosphere is amazing, excited tension is building and it feels like waiting for a nuclear bomb to explode."
Starf*cker includes over 120 never-before-seen colour and black and white photos, capturing the greatest rock n' roll band in history in all their glory.
In the seventies, the Rolling Stones embarked upon their legendary European Tour '76, often known as the "Starfucker" tour, in part due to the extraordinary lotus-shaped stage they played on. During the tour they set a standard for decadence, excess and sheer rock n' roll energy that has yet to be surpassed.
There to shoot the roller coaster tour at its zenith – the concerts at London’s Earls Court from 21-27 May – was acclaimed photographer Nobby Clark. The result is captured in this remarkable volume, a timeless photographic document of the Rolling Stones at their peak.
