Okay, here goes.

First up is a copy of a Gibson Firebird.

I apologise for the photo being slightly out of focus on the headstock - wobbley hand!

Starbuck, That's a great looking guitar you have there(please show us your other's). How do I do it having so many guitars ? with great difficulty Smiley

Sioux,

The Squier Jagmaster is an electric guitar marketed by the Fender Musical Instruments Corporation under their Squier budget brand. It is based on the design of the classic Fender Jazzmaster and Fender Jaguar. It has Duncan-Designed humbucking pickups, a standard Stratocaster-style tremolo bridge, and on Vista Series versions a short-scale, 24" neck (22 Frets). The first Jagmasters appeared in 1996 labeled the Vista Series and were made in Japan. the Jagmaster in its original form was only made for a period of two years; 1996 through 1998. The first Japanese Jagmasters had a neck in which the truss rod is adjusted at the bottom of the neck, and the later Japanese ones have a 70's style 'bullet' truss rod, which is adjusted at the headstock. The original Japanese Jagmasters featured a maple neck with a 'skunk-stripe' back, rosewood fretboard and basswood body. The list price was $699.99.

However, a year later, the Japanese market crashed and Fender closed their production plants.

The Jagmaster was brought back into production in 2002, this time made in China and with a 25.5" neck (21 frets). In 2005, the 2002 Jagmaster was discontinued, and replaced with the (also Chinese) Squier Jagmaster II, which feature different visual aesthetics, and also the old 24" neck (22 frets). The 2005 Jagmaster II have only two (readily available) colour options: black and sunburst. The third finish option "Silver Sparkle" of the 2002 reissues is no longer available.

Thanks Steve, that's really interesting...Smiley Especially concerning each reissue having different length necks and number of frets. It's a nice looking axe---yes, I see the resemblane to the Fender Jazzmaster. Smiley So, which year and manufacurer made your model? Is it the Japanese or Chinese model? And why did you want to add this particular guitar to your collection? Sorry for all the questions! I just think this is all very interesting, although I don't play. {Husband is a guitarist--professional musician, but he plays acoustic}.

beautyfull guitars !
I personally love the honky tonk man firebird
these guitars are of my guitarist of the band, meanwhile we had a test before the concert.

• one telecaster with 5 chords, I dunno age but I presume very modern
• one white strato very powerfull, I think with one gibson pick up on the bridge and one humbucking down.
•• Me and the drummer ...  Cheesy

Hmmm... is that sarcasm, Sioux?

No, its an old guitar which has had plenty of use over the years. It served me well and kept me happy for many years. It gets little opportunity to shine these days - not that it did really in the first place anyway!  Roll Eyes

No, no sarcasm at all....I love it. And it IS a beauty. Smiley  I actually did a little research on the Fender Sunn Mustang...maybe it's not a high end {price or performance} guitar, but it's hard not to admire a red Fender.... Wink Smiley

The guitar is filithy. That maty explain the 'well used' look!

I actually think it adds to the charm.

Sioux, do you think the my guitar is made by Fender? I too, did a little research and I suppose it's possible that it is part of some super-budget-range: lower than Squire, perhaps?
