Mick Jagger and songwriter-producer Dave Stewart, better known as the other half of Eurythmics, are "collaborating," Stewart's rep confirms to EW.com. The two were spotted leaving a Los Angeles studio days after Stewart played a gig, backed by a 30-piece orchestra, at the Sunset Strip hotspot The Roxy on September 24. Details of the project have yet to be announced, but the recording sessions cap off what's already been a busy fall for Stewart. In the last month, he has made the morning talk show rounds, hosted an exhibition of his photos at New York's Morrison Hotel Gallery, and entertained celebrity fans at shows on both coasts (Jon Bon Jovi, Andy Garcia, Deepak Chopra and Gavin Rossdale were among the famous faces in the crowds).

The reason this isn't very interesting is that Mick & Dave have collaborated several times already since 1987 & they're mostly doing ballads these days.

They make a good team, and were nominated for a grammy on the ALFIE soundtrack, which is very good IMO....

Listen, Again I am not saying every waking moment Mick is with Keith Richards. What I am saying is he has met with Keith ...and has written with him already as of very recently.

If this does come to an album (I am assuming it will) you are free to look at the writing time frame if it is released like their last album. Mick met with Keith within the past three months and has worked on material.  I don't spread rumors and I don't exaggerate. No ... I do not have an inside Stones source. I do know people who know folks at record companies. And Really, although the detail is pretty limited (real limited) the fact that this occurred/is occurring is not as big a secret to some of them as many portrait these things.


For Example:
When I was in LA I knew the owners who worked for an audio gear/equipment moving, and storing facility that concentrated on touring rehearsals. It is called "Mates". They did EVERYBODY. From The Who to Foo-fighters ...and you name it.

I dropped by there one day and I seen "Guns N Roses" at the top of their dry erase board with some dates (rehearsal or moving dates I am assuming...not tour dates) and many other groups listed below them.  I asked the person I know why G & R was on their dry erase board when I have seen nothing on their website about any shows and not a thing on Google Entertainment News about them performing any where.

He told me that it was fact that they were to tour because his company was holding and moving their rehearsal gear and setting it up for them. He also noted that he just spoke to Axl himself on the telephone days earlier because Axl called "Mates" to see if they could get a hold of a couple of amps (or something? can't remember) that they would like to try out while rehearsing.

Three months later it was officially released that G & R would be performing some live shows.

The bottom line here is he was not interested if anyone knew or not, or if it was officially released. In fact he didn't even know the better part of the world did not know anything yet. He just knew it to be occurring and went on about his daily routine. I guarantee he would never go home to email, blog, or phone anyone with the news of these shows because he really did not think anything of it. This attitude for some folks involved, or in the know is the same in LA, New York, and Nashville, and Chicago (to a point). News to most of us comes four or five months after these people already worked or have known the situation and to them, just knowing things like this is really no major story to them.

That was sort of my first realization of how things can go at times and as far as news, not really being news to some in these music melting pots.

Now, the total big-boys (fat-cats) and publicists know to keep their trap shut and only speak out when the time is right. They are the ones that speak to the press. They are usually named in the article. When an article refers to a "source" or "unnamed source" it is usually a journalist or website asking someone like my friend with "Mates" and he fills them in.

My friend was a rich guy and owner but he was far from any "fat-cat" or high exec. but still he knew that much and nobody eles did outside that bubble.

Same is true with the situation between Mick and Keith. Just a different friend, in a different line of work that is in the channel of the Stones and their record company by way of who he works with.
